A rare opportunity to see these phenomenal musicians (who rarely stray far from their homes in SW Virginia) in Penryn!
On their own, Rose and the Black Twigs have won plenty of accolades - Rose is regularly placed in the top tier of today's acoustic guitarists, distinguishing himself with finger-picked rambles that veer from ragtime to raga, while the Black Twigs have been described by Bluegrass Unlimited as "exciting old-time music at its finest" and by Sing Out! as "more akin to the previous generation of masters than many of those plying the trade today."
Did I say raga?

“…a slice of dazzling alternative rock. It’s recorded easy on the gain but loud as f***; lysergic bursts of warm guitar vibrate snare skins. Arbouretum owe as much to the English delivery of Martin Carthy as they do to the beatnik languor of Fred Neil and the polychromatic textures of J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr)” Plan B magazine

Hey there Simon. Just been listening to "my uneven shell". Love that track. Thought I'd say Hi. Plunge Pool album is out! I've managed to stay in a right state for a bit now. What's happening with you?
Most of the birds have flown. There are still pidgeons, crows and magpies, the occasional blackbird, but mostly the skies are empty.Apart from the aeroplanes, there are plenty of them.Whenever I poke my head out of the window for a cigarette in the evening I spot more than one little light glistening across the sky, seven is the most yet spotted. All at one time.I am hoping to see a plane crash some day, either that or a UFO. Hows tricks in picture postcard land?Still cute and fluffy? You betcha!
