Feed People NOT The Machine!
Please help get Twin Cities artist and activist out of jail!
Our friend, Raymond Merchant aka AC, father of two, Hip Hop artist, and
community organizer in Minneapolis was recently wrongly arrested in
relation to a robbery in South Minneapolis to which he was no party.
Missing for several days, friends became worried when Raymond failed to
arrive to a show he was scheduled to perform at. After contacting his
family, it was confirmed he had been abducted by police just blocks from
his home while out for a walk.
Raymond cooks and distributes food through Minneapolis Food Not Bombs, a
group that came under heat last year as the Food Not Bombs House was
raided by police in the week leading up to the Republican National
Convention. Help us fight to get Raymond out of jail as he is facing
potential prison time resulting from the police pinning bogus charges on
him. The full charges and maximum penalty are as of yet unknown though we
know he is being charged with three felonies. He is currently being held
on a $50,000 bail with $5,000 bond, but it is our hope and intention that
he will not have to sit in jail until his first court date on November
16th. He has been in custody since October 24th.
Fight with us as we stand up to support Raymond, and end police repression!
Please visit the paypal link below to make a donation to Raymond's legal
defense.

CUAPB Demonstration @ North Commons Park Against Police Murder of Ahmed Guled, 4:30 Wednesday!! (Feb. 11th)
The police have murdered yet another member of our community. Once again the victim was a person of color, Ahmed Guled a young Somali.
As usual the police are attempting to justify continuous attacks on the citizenry by calling the victim a criminal and labeling their actions as "justifiable homicide." The authorities have a history of lying about the facts in similar incidents so we will not provide them any benefit of doubt in this incident, nor the murders of citizens that our sure to happen in the future until the community comes together to stop it.
We must act now and defend ourselves against state sponsored death of civilians in all forms.
Communities United Against Police Brutality has organized a demonstration on the spot of this latest death at the hands of police. Please join us this Wednesday, February 11 at 4:30pm, North Commons Park, (corner of Golden Valley Rd. and Morgan Ave.) and help us tell the police they we will not tolerate continuous violence at their hands.
Hi, Even if all the snow melts by monday a capture the flag game in powderhorn park is still going to be mad fun. So tell your friends to still show up cuz the war will go on with or with out snow. There are still great prizes to win and RNC restitution, CRASS and the RNC8 still need your support. No war, but Snow War!!!

Wednesday, October 22nd at 4:30pm Kellogg Park, Kellogg & Wabasha, St. Paul
From mass police brutality during the RNC, to the everyday brutality against people of color and poor people in the streets and in the jails. Something has to be done to end their reign of terror. • We need a real civilian review authority that holds cops accountable and isn’t just a rubber stamp agency! • End beatings and abuse in jails - and prosecute the brutal jailers! • No more bogus charges against police brutality victims. Prosecute brutal cops! • Drop ALL charges against the RNC arrestees - Dissent is not a crime! • Fire cops who lie in police reports or in court!
We must let the authorities know that we will no longer be silent in the face of police brutality!
