Minor Threat was a Hardcore Punk band that formed in Washington D.C. in 1980, they then broke up in 1983. Even though Minor Threat were short lived they are still not forgotten to this day. Minor Threat's song "Straight Edge" was the basis for the straight edge movement, though the band had nothing to do with the movement itself.
