You could be forgiven for thinking Mint Royale has ground to a halt - and to a degree you would be right. There is a half finished Mint Royale album waiting to be completed (no, really!), but after last years Singin' In The Rain excitement a few other musical opportunities came my way, and the attraction of working with real live human beings (as opposed to enjoying the sole company of computers day in, day out) has meant Mint Royale has quietly drifted into a state of hibernation.
So what are these musical endeavours.... Well, the first was producing the new album from The Twang which has taken up most of the time. As well as being lots of fun to make, it really is a great record which will surprise a lot of people (as long as they are able to get down of their high horse to listen to it). You can download 'Another Bus' from the album for free here and their myspace has all the latest news leading up to the album being released in August.
The other excitement is that I've been working with an ace singer/songwriter called Fran Barker on a project called Seerauber Jenny. You can check out her myspace where the first fruits of our mucking about can be heard, and you can watch a video of us in the studio. She should have more tracks up over the next few week as we finish them but I think it is some of the best and most original music I've worked on, she should go far – tell your friends!
And as to the hibernating beast that is Mint Royale, hopefully I will be prodding it back into life soon so thanks for your patience and continued messages of support and appreciation.

I hate to be 'that person' but i found out about Mint Royale through watching extras on The Mighty Boosh. I saw Noel Fielding jamming out and throwing shapes to 'The Blue Song' and I instantly fell in love.
This is definitely my kind of music and I really wish they would release your music in the states. I think it would spread like wild fire!!
