Miracle Dolls is an Alternative / Punk / Indie band from Southern California. The band is a trio fronted by twin sisters. The name “Miracle Dolls” came from an aspiration their mother had.
Their main influences include Weezer, Rancid, Green Day and The Pixies just to name a few.
Their influences not only inspire their passion for music but it also allows them to turn a creative curve to enhance their song writing ability. Between their personal study of music and their countless hours of rehearsals and performances, the Miracle Dolls generate a unique sound that’s taking the Indie world by storm.
Miracle Dolls have put together a program called “Plane Jane Zine” which is a series of interviews with strong women in the music scene. The Dolls also throw “Plane Jane Nights” where it’s an all girl band show at various locations.
Miracle Dolls performed warped 2008 and the recent record "this system" was produced by reel big fish's producer John Avila. In addition, the Dolls are also working with Warped Tour and the Coachella Music and Arts Festival as well as the StageCoach Country Music Festival.
-Cover Article Recording Magazine exclaims, “Miracle Dolls, are another example of dues-paying hard-working songwriter/musicians who seize any opportunity to get ahead, and when they don’t see an opening, they create one.”
-Feature Article Logo Magazine raves, “(Their music) is filled with enticing guitar riffs and choruses that are supported by the shared vocal duties of Danny on bass and Dezy on guitar. This refreshing approach allows for heavy interplay between the twins and their voices complement each other superbly.”
-Feature in IE Weekly proclacims,"Love interests notwithstanding, the band’s latest, We Share, was produced by Oingo Boingo bassist John Avila, and finds a sense of maturity with the Dolls, covering an assortment of topics and maybe even injecting a dose of optimism along the way. After all, it hasn’t always been so incredibly upbeat for the twins who grew up on an Indian reservation in North Dakota, and, according to Danny, witnessed “a lot of messed up stuff.” “We basically wanted to write a positive message for people in sad situations,” she adds.
