I've been doing the composition thing since about the age of 10. It all started with a piano, and from there, hours of not practicing Mozart and Chopin when I should have been (my apologies to all of my piano teachers). I took my love of music to the College of William and Mary in the fall of '99. During my freshman year, I recorded a solo piano album (available for purchase at cdbaby.com/cd/miriammarston). I graduated in '03 with a degree in History and Religion.
From there, I moved back home to Washington DC, where I studied music part time for about a year, and had some fun performance opportunities. Then, on a whim and a prayer, I moved to Oxford, UK, where I continued to write and record new material (my thanks to the music faculty at Oxford University for the use of their pianos), all while working full time and learning how to be a grown up.
In 2006, I switched sides of the Atlantic again, and moved to Boston. I'm on a singer-songwriter track right now, working on a new album, all while studying and generally enjoying life in the Boston area. Hope you enjoy the music -- feel free to spread the word and come back for updates!
