Dino was recently diagnosed with a type of sarcoma cancer found in his abdomen. On June 9, all 30 pounds of the tumor enveloping several vital organs were removed successfully and Dino has been recovering well. He still faces a long road of chemotherapy sessions and recovery, but he has maintained his positive spirit and sense of humor through this ordeal.
This band doesn't matter compared to what the Big Dog is going through so this update is not about us. We'll make do with temporary and fill-in bassists, and we just want Dino to get well soon.
"It was first place finalists, Mirror Image who had the dance floor alive from wall to wall. The band played a tight, innovative set which included a mandolin, violin and saxophone, all topped off with their singer's pretty voice. The music was uplifting and pleasant and the crowd loved it."
-Mona Moon, Bodog Music
In essence, a retooled version of Santa Clara University's Shades of Hewson, Mirror Image is made up of five talented individuals who take their years of diverse rock and roll experience and create music diverse as these experiences. Infusing alternative rock with jam rock and touching on elements of funk, folk, and pop rock, Mirror Image delivers a product that is missing in today's music scene - a female fronted band.
Armed with a strong repertoire of songs written in a previous project, Sean Mendelson and Bradley Okamoto recruited drummer Billy Ramirez, whom they had played with previously. The trio searched long and hard for a singer and landed in a gold mine upon finding the sweet voice of Lisa Trevorrow. No stranger to the stage, Trevorrow has opened for the Violent Femmes at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco and was a finalist in a Lilith Fair vocalist competition to boot. The final piece of the puzzle, Dino Scoppettone plays the bass with enough intensity to match his wit.
Mirror Image aims to dazzle audiences with their confidence, ability to change musical moods from song to song, and sheer love of playing. Their plan is to take over the Bay Area and then the world with their unique music and passion.

So sorry to hear about DINO! We lost a band memeber last year also! Our family band had a hard time dealing with that so we know how you're feeling! But, he's there with you guys in all that music! Peace and Love! Orbital Influence
I'm so sorry to hear about Dino. Though I have only seen you guys perform once at the stage inside of Santana Row, I thoroughly enjoyed your show and you all seemed like a great group with great friendships. I'm sure Dino will be missed terribly in your band and in your lives. May he rest in peace.

Sean, Brad - you guys have come a long way since college, those samples are amazing. If Brad could play more instruments, though, that would be great. I don't think he can quite be a one man band yet. :)
