About me:

"Sprite Chronicles" is a fantasy webmanga, set in modern times. In the past, sixteen warriors were chosen to fight against an evil sprite named Uma. Unfortunately, Uma was too powerful, so the princess of sprites put him in a deep sleep and sent all the warriors to present time. Now Uma has awakened, but the warriors, now ordinary humans, have no memories of their past selves. A young trainee sprite named Cheval is sent to search and gather them once again. ~ Prologue and Chapter 1 ~ For "Jinko's Story" (it can be treated as an indepedent story), go here. ~Fan Art~ ====

Characters

Cheval
A messenger sprite sent by the sprite of fire to find and gather the sixteen warriors. Although gentle and soft-spoken, Cheval can be willful and stubborn, and she seems to have a mysterious power lurking within her. She develops feelings for Uroko, even though it's taboo for a sprite and human to fall in love.
First appearance: Cover, Intro/Splash, Chapter 1 cover (page 6), & Page 12.

Uroko
A martial artist living at the Dy Temple, and one of the sixteen warriors. Uroko is brash, sharp-tongued and hot-tempered. Although he shows many negative traits, like skipping training and insulting his master, he's very skilled in all sports and martial arts, and he obviously cares for the people he loves to the point of risking his own life.
First appearance: Cover, Chapter 1 cover (page 6), & Page 10.

Tsunoke
Uroko's younger brother, also a martial artist staying at the temple and one of the sixteen warriors. He's usually the comic relief of the bunch, however Tsunoke is observant and analytical. When he turns serious, he can be an excellent fighter, but unfortunately, he loves food more than training.
First appearance: Cover, Chapter 1 cover (page 6), & Page 10 (vaguely).

Jinko
Shih Fu's grandniece and one of the sixteen warriors. A gentle-hearted girl that loves to cook and tend to her garden, and who also practices martial arts. She claims to be cowardly and shy, but during critical times she shows a different side.

Shih Fu
An old man who owns Dy Temple. He took in Uroko, Tsunoke and Jinko, and trained them in the ways of martial arts. His age and past are a mystery. He hides many secrets.

Uma
A young sprite said to have been possessed by an evil spirit. He is bent on destruction and chaos. During the time of the Great Battle, the sprite princess put him in a deep slumber, and now in present time he finally awakens.
First appearance: Page 1.

Kajiko
The current sprite of fire, and Uma's twin sister. A long time ago, she tried to save her brother by gathering the sixteen chosen warriors foretold in legends, however many of the warriors lost their lives during The Great Battle. She continues her mission through her apprentice, Cheval.
First appearance: Page 1.
