My name is Teneisha and I create the MiseryKids MiseryKids (well, really, they create themselves) and the Sleepy Stars and other random objects.
The Kids were born one early, gray, Boston morning, as I sat in a dark classroom where I was supposed to be learning about the History of Art on planet Earth. While usually a good student, my mind wandered and suddenly small blockheaded kids appeared in my notebook.
People seemed to like them, and since it was more entertaining than taking notes, I probably spent more time with them than I should have. They filled two self-published/small edition books called “oh the irony” and “oh the irony part duex: the emotion edition”.
After graduation I moved to San Diego where I guess the Kids found a lot more to complain about because suddenly there were a lot more drawings. Enough to start a website. And maybe some t-shirts. And hopefully a book published by a real company…
