CKY, AFI, Nirvana, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Trivium, Iron Maiden, HIM, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, Slipknot, Slayer, System Of A Down, Muse, Atreyu and various shredders (ie Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc), as well as each of our own personal influences, where a list is not big enough to include all of the main ones.

All of our songs sound really different. We mix Funk, Ska, Rock, Metal, Punk, Grunge and Acoustic melodies and riffs, with female vocals, punky drumming and a few guitar solos thrown in for good measure. Despite all this we like to keep it simple.
Running With Scissors formed as "Dogs In General" in December 2004. The original bassist left, and they disbanded temporarily, until February 2005, when Louise (guitars, vocals) and George (drums) began writing their first songs: The Random Song, Little Drummer Boy and Alone + Lazy. Dogs In General recorded an EP shortly afterwards, consisting of 5 tracks. David (guitars) heard these and joined in April 2005. Dogs In General shortened their name to DIG, before going through numerous name changes (one notable name was "The Shy Teds") and finally settling on "Running With Scissors" in January 2006. RWS re-recorded all of their old songs along with a few others which were compiled into "Be Nice Or Leave". The CD was never properly released, although artwork was finished.
In October 2006, Running With Scissors finally decided to call it a day. A free CD, entitled "Time To Face The Truth" will be released along with album artwork, featuring all the tracks it was possible to compile. If you would like a copy, leave a comment/message/email us at Dingo3001@aol.com.
hay i was sorry ud split, truly. u acctually got rly quiet gd, i rly like the seven eleven riff. anyhu, gd ur doing other projects. a CD would be a nice, but dnt worry to much if you cant get it to me/slash dnt wont to give me one, lol.
