Traditionally trained in the art of Middle Eastern dance, Sapphira is a international burlesque showgirl, cabaret singer and teacher with an edge. Her toes have twinkled on stages across London, Europe, the USA and Australia including her hometown, Melbourne. As a published singer/songwriter/pianist using her real name, Priscilla Tonkin and the dance music pseudonym Mystress, she has more than a few tricks tucked up inside her satin evening gloves!

Sapphira has performed show-stopping routines at Ministry of Sound, Pacha, London Burlesque Festival, for legendary DJ Dimitri from Paris and under the desert stars in Black Rock City at Burning Man Festival in Nevada.

Certified in Group Fitness, her BECOME A BURLESQUE BOMBSHELL courses and belly dancing classes are popular around the globe as she teaches women to embrace their sensuality and feel empowered through movement, dance and costume.

In addition, to wide performance repertoire, Sapphira is a savvy promoter and director. She draws on her international experience co-producing the first Australian Burlesque Festival www.australianburlesquefest.com and she left her mark in London’s West End pioneering Shimmy Shake, a belly dancing and burlesque event which received reviews as far afield as the USA, Russia and South Africa.
