BURLESQUE ARTISTE
An award-winning solo performer Daiquiri Dusk is one of Scotland's premiere burlesque artistes and is becoming an increasingly in-demand performer in the UK and Europe.
Graduating in 2008 with an M/A (Hons) in Theatre, Film & Television Studies from Glasgow University, she has a background in theatre (10 years performance experience) and highland dance (15 years experience). Daiquiri has been performing regularly on the British burlesque circuit for over 3 years, as well appearing in the USA and Europe.
Daiquiri's specialities are cute, classic, cheesecake burlesque and rockabilly themed performances. Her acts include balloon-popping, fan-dancing, strip-teasing & tassel twirling.
She also offers more unusual acts, including her own unique fusion of highland dance and burlesque (as seen on Britain's Got Talent 2009) and her award-winning strip-tease contortion performance, featuring her gravity-defying, upside-down tassel twirling!
See blog for current repertoire. Custom routines available on request.
A FEW WORDS ABOUT DAIQUIRI...
“When it comes to high standards and attention to detail, this liquor lass has everything licked, and her originality makes us feel drunk with delight… Miss Dusk makes sure her act balances sexiness and satire, and kink and comedy…”
(Bizarre Magazine)
"I had never liked highland dancing until this precise moment, but now I'm really beginning to see the magical qualities that have passed me by... it's a yes!"
(Piers Morgan, Britain's Got Talent 2009)
“Take a sip of a cool Daiquiri with this diminutive little darling! A Sketchy regular and a total favourite, Daiquiri Dusk also fashions the best tassels in town, and hand makes mini top-hats to order. If you want to take some of that glamour home, she’s your girl!”
(Dr Sketchy Scotland)
“the cream of the burlesque crop…”
(I-on Glasgow Magazine)
“full of life, bubbly, captivating, v cute, fizzing, put her in your pocket, gorgeous!”
(Burlesque Blue, Rotherham)

You must be superwoman ;)

Hey It was good to see you again. We had to leave as soon as we finished...
Probably for the best. Playing to such a selective crowd as we did, because we weren't playing accoustic music or Ac/dc style rock'n'roll the crowd were hard to please!
Was a good night though! Did you have a good time?!
Hey, sorry I didn't reply back, I thought for a sec that I might bump into you at Snookie's thingy in the Bier Hall but then I remembered that Glasgow's burlesquey people don't all go around together 100% of the time! I think you came across pretty damn well on the show!
No problem, I knew you probably hadn't seen the message. I had been at the November Cafe to meet Miss Hell's Belle and then bumped into you and Cat as I was leaving. Hope your evening went well, will say hello properly the next time I see you - I think the baloon idea is workable if you're interested.
hello sweet cheeks just thought id send a message to say that again i seen you on britains got more talent and your 10 min of fame, you looked amazing and i hope this does you well in your career and we will most deff be having you back up as soon as possible ive missed seeing you xx
We just want to send you a quick reminder that applications for the New Orleans Burlesque Festival are due in by June 1st. This year’s festival will be held at Harrah's Casino at the edge of the French Quarter. More details can be found at BurlesqueCommunity.com
