Miss Construction
Der Tumor wurde ausgemerzt. Er hatte seine Möglichkeiten, sein elektronisches Verderben zu verbreiten, weidlich ausgereizt, und wurde daher in einer letzten, ohrenbetäubenden Operation von der Oberfläche dieses Planeten getilgt.
Aber just als die Menschheit sich in Sicherheit wähnte, und in Chris Pohl nur noch einen Protagonisten gepflegter, schwarz gefärbter Popmusik sah, erhob sich klammheimlich ein zweiköpfiges Biest aus den zuckenden Überresten des Party-tauglichsten Krebsgeschwürs, das die Menschheit bisher befallen hatte. Chris Pohls verrücktes Alter Ego, diese völlig wahnsinnige Seite eines ansonsten so smarten Gothic-Pop-Dandys wollte sich partout nicht bändigen lassen, und so zwang es den Meister wieder ins Klanglabor. Als Partner in Crime holte er sich kurzerhand seinen Terminal Choice Mitstreiter Gordon . mit ins Boot, von dem er wusste, dass dieser ebenfalls noch nie ganz richtig getickt hatte, und der somit das perfekte Aushängeschild für seine neuen musikalischen Krankheiten wäre. Viele Nächte, in denen Chris tagsüber die Identität des dunklen Lords bediente, nur um sich nach Anbruch der Dunkelheit mit dem Biest Gordon in seinem Studio einzuschließen, gingen ins Land. Nächte, in denen seine Mitarbeiter nur noch seltsames Gelächter, komisches Geschrei und donnernde Beats vernahmen. Irgendwann kamen beide mit zerzaustem Haar und rauchenden Kitteln und einem irren Grinsen im Gesicht heraus: Miss Construction war geboren.
Was ist nun Miss Construction? Drücken wir es mal so aus: Miss Construction ist krank. Miss Construction ist heftig. Miss Construction ist bedingungslos elektronisch. Miss Construction ist zum Tanzen. Miss Construction ist ein bisschen wie die alten Terminal Choice… betrachtet durch die Brille eines komplett Durchgeknallten – Ihr könnt euch schon jetzt auf eine brachiale Neuinterpretation von Totes Fleisch freuen! Miss Construction ist „Anything Goes“! Miss Construction ist neues Songmaterial von Chris Pohl, das Leute, die ihn nur oberflächlich kennen, wohl eher nicht von ihm erwartet hätten, mit Gordon . als verrückter Frontsau! Und vor allen Dingen: Miss Construction wird es im Gegensatz zum Tumor, der sich vornehmlich im heimischen CD-Player eingenistet hatte, auch live geben. Das wahnsinnige Alter Ego von Chris wird dabei im Studio eingeschlossen bleiben, da man ihn im diesem Zustand nicht auf die Welt loslassen könnte, während Gordon mit einem elektronischen Blitzkrieg die Clubs niederwalzt. Aber vor allem: Miss Construction ist jede Menge Spaß.

The Tumor has been eradicated! He had long used up all his resources for unleashing electronic devastation on mankind and was therefore removed from the face of the Earth in one final, deafening operation.
But just as mankind deemed itself to be safe from this madness and was beginning to see Chris Pohl as a mere protagonist of sophisticated dark Pop music, a new two-headed beast was silently rising from the smouldering ashes of the most party-compatible cancerous growth in history. Chris Pohl’s mad alter ego – the totally demented dark side of this smart Goth Pop dandy – took control of its master again and started forcing him to perform new antics in his sonic laboratory. Needing a partner in crime, Chris instantly fell upon his fellow Terminal-Choice-collaborator Gordon M. … a guy whom he had always known to be one beer short of a six-pack and who would, thus, serve as the perfect front figure for these new sonic diseases. A lot of days passed, days in which Chris was busy holding up his worldly façade of the dark lord during the daytime, only to lock himself up in his secret studio with the beast Gordon at night. Nights, in which his humble servants and his neighbours would only hear sinister laughter, weird screams and thudding beats. After a prolonged period of clandestine, nocturnal activities, the mad duo emerged with smoking lab coats and crazy grins on their faces: Miss Construction was born!
What exactly is Miss Construction? Let us try to explain it in just a few words: Miss Construction is sick stuff. Miss Construction is relentlessly electronic. Miss Construction was conceived for the dance floor. Miss Construction is somewhat similar to early Terminal Choice… but viewed through the eyes of an utterly demented mad man (you can already look forward to a devastating new version of “Totes Fleisch.”) Miss Construction is “anything goes!” Miss Construction is: new music from Chris Pohl that people who don’t know him well would probably never had expected from him… with Gordon M. as a rampant front figure. Furthermore… Miss Construction will also be a live band, where the Tumor had basically been sufficiently satisfied with just infecting your home CD player. For the gigs, Chris Pohl’s mad alter ego will stay locked up in the studio (…it would have been much too dangerous to turn him loose on the public in this state, anyhow!) while Gordon will unleash a sonic Blitzkrieg on the clubs. But, first and foremost: Miss Construction is a lot of fun!
