Winner of DTPM's The Deckx Factor DJ competition!
Miss Cupcake, originally from Kansas, has been DJing since she was 16, inheriting her love of music from her father, a traditional jazz record collector, her uncle a rock-n-roll DJ in 1950s America and her mother, a 1950's dance teacher.
Starting out playing records for friends at parties then becoming a radio and communications major, her DJ career has taken her from spinning indie, pop and alternative tunes in the 80s to working for her college radio station to playing late 90's progressive house, she is now playing "dirty, filthy, you-know-you-want-it" electro and funky electro house. She recently left her 9-to-5 job so she could pursue DJ'ing full time while figuring out how to make her mortgage payments. She has just recently won DTPM's "The Deckx Factor" competition and enjoys reading, long walks on the beach and puppies.
Miss Cupcake can be seen spinning in bars and clubs around London for DTPM, CODE, Detox, The Friendly Society, Rush, The Alphabet Bar. She also DJ's for the money and the free food at weddings, funerals, corporate events, "away days" that don't involve going outside, being in a tent or wearing sensible shoes, christmas parties at posh venues and birthdays only if it's not fancy dress.
