About me: Well following the success of Miss Gay Melbourne 2008, preparations for 2009 are already under way.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Miss Gay Melbourne concept, here's what it's all about:
MGM started in 2008 as way to positively promote the lesbian/bisexual image to a broader range of people. It's about showing everyone that the girl next door can also be the queer next door. It's about showing that being gay isn't about being perverse and unhealthy, and that we as gay women can be real role models to ALL people.
I'm hoping that in years to come this will have grown to be a marquee event on the gay calendar, and Miss Gay Melbourne will be a familiar title to a lot of different people.
