On Tummo Style Meditation - Taught by Wim Hof www.innerfire.com - if people can learn this form of meditation their bodies own systems can heal them without corporate drugs which put their body systems out of balance. Amba......This is a letter from the Tibet House of New York to Wim after he made the world record in New York Jan.2008 of practicing his style of Tummo in ICE for over an hour. **********************************************************((())) The following is a letter to Wim HOff from William Bushell director of east - west research, Tibet-HOuse US, Ny, NY :
-Dear Wim Hoff,
My congratulations to you for the incredible work you are doing with your life! Please feel free to discuss with whomever you wish the information on your recent activities in the United States, including the following:
Through your mastery of specific Indo-Tibetan yoga-meditational practices, you have been found to be capable of lowering the level of inflammatory substances in your system to a profound extent, as you recently demonstrated at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, in Manhasset, New York. The significance of this capacity is potentially enormous, as we now know that most forms of disease and pathology are critically based on tissue damage resulting from unchecked inflammation. This appears to include all major forms of morbidity and mortality in both the developed and undeveloped world: cardiovascular disease (heart attack, heart failure, etc), stroke, many (if not most) forms of cancer, diabetes, dementia (Alzheimer's and related), as well as infectious disease and even many forms of physical trauma.
Based on preliminary evidence, it appears that you are also capable of teaching this ability to others, at least enough to make a significant difference in the inflammatory processes of those you teach, with potentially far-reaching implications for the health of these individuals. Because of this, we are interested in conducting a follow-up study on the effects of your teaching of this practice to a pilot group of novice students. And because of our association with Tibetan culture through Tibet House US, which is officially affiliated with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, we would like to invite you to lead an intensive yoga-meditation teaching workshop at the Menla Center, in Phoenicia, NY, an affiliate institution of Tibet House, where we would be able to conduct this study in collaboration with the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. And upon completion of this workshop and study, we would like to invite you to travel to the residence of HH the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India, for a meeting on this project with His Holiness and possible further activities of a similar nature. We envision this entire undertaking to be documented by the filmaker Eric Mazer, of Twinhill Productions, Los Angeles, California.
Again Wim, I want to express my gratitude and admiration of the work you are doing as a fearless, highly disciplined, and dedicated explorer of human potential, an intercultural ambassador of good will, and a compassionate humanitarian seeking to help people in need throughout the world.
Sincerely,
William C Bushell, PhD
