I feel comfortable saying that most of you don't know me well enough to know the extent to which I love(d) Michael Jackson. Those of you that do though made the effort to let me know you thought of me when you heard of it. I can't tell you how much it meant to me.
Michael Jackson has been in my ENTIRE life. He has been my favorite artist my ENTIRE life. I want to have a t-shirt made that says, "Have you seen my childhood? Oh yeah, it died with Michael Jackson." As someone who has always been a loner with hardly any family, I had a love for Michael Jackson like he was my family. He got me through uncountable hard times. Losing him was losing part of my family, part of my childhood, and part of my happiness. There is no one other celebrity in this world that could have drawn even 1/10th of the reaction and heartbreak that he did.
I do not have the words to even begin describing how amazing his talent was. From singing to innovative dance moves, to song writing, to ideas for making the most memorable music videos ever. To have his mind and talent gone forever is heartbreaking in and of itself.
Michael Jackson had a hard life. I challenge anyone to have an abusive father, a religiously fanatic mother that made you afraid of life, no childhood, insane amounts of fame from early childhood in which you are judged, have every movement watched, ridiculed, and whatever horrible things he went through that he could have never understood would happen when he began, to come out unscathed and be a "normal" member of society.
As far was the allegations against him, there was never proof. I do disagree with his time spent alone with children because I don't understand how he thought it wouldn't make him look suspicious. The Michael Jackson I love would never hurt a child. Can we also mention the family that took him to trial sued other people for the same exact thing? Interesting how that fact never made national news. In my mind he was always innocent and I defended this belief every moment of my life.
Michael Jackson spent countless time and money trying to help the world and make it a more beautiful place. People call him selfish but what successful artist isn't? You have to be if you're going to be the best. If you google his charities, the list is enormous. He was insanely kind and people lost sight of that in recent years.
I thank most of you for not saying anything cruel about him during this time. And I thank all of you for not saying anything negative in response to this.
Michael Jackson meant the world to me. I'm just a random nobody to the rest of the world but like many others, the same as me, Michael Jackson was everything beautiful and wonderful. He will remain my favorite artist, favorite performer, and favorite person.
RIP Michael. I hope you have the peace you never had in life.
