This is Michael's story:

Christopher Michael Pierce, 18 years old, (would have been 24 years old this year) left work at Taco Bell in Bossier City, LA around midnight on May 19, 2003 & had not been seen or heard from since until his truck and remains were recovered December 6, 2007. His dad and younger brother live in Louisanna and his mother, sister, & grandparents live in Tennessee.

Before he disappeared, he told his mother on the phone that his life had been threatened & he had not been sleeping well & was afraid. Michael had just graduated high school with honors, never in trouble & was a sensitive, caring young man. We were told by the police that kids disappear all the time. Police have so many criminal matters to handle that a missing boy was not top priority, although they say that they have done all they can do unless they have any other leads to follow. So his disappearance had become a "cold case" until December 6, 2007 when they found his truck and remains in the Red River.

We are desparate to find answers to what happened to our precious child and how he ended up in the Red River. To us, this is a priority situation, but we have no one with our sense of urgency. We feel someone knows something & must come forward and talk to the police.

My husband and I have gone to Michael's home town & talked to people & posted "missing" posters everywhere. Michael is gone now & we need help or some solid advice or leads to prompt the police to further investigate.

We cannot afford a private investigator, or reward money however. We are not prominent people who know how to get public attention. However, we must cry out for our Michael. We feel that we must get media attention & pray that your involvement would be a mighty platform. Please help us with advice or anything.

Update: Indicted suspect Robert Cole was held in the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for the January 6, 2008 murder of his wife, Terresa, 26, and her unborn child, and now connected to the murder of Michael Pierce 4 1/2 years ago. In May 2008 Cole pled guilty to the murder of his wife and unborn child but not for the murder of Michael. He received life in prison however we must have justice for Michael.
