About me:
Born in the Midlands in the UK. Have lived all over the place - Chester, Portsmouth, London (various places), Gloucester and have finally settled down in Manchester.
Love - music (goth, industrial, ebm, noize, electronic, rock, classical, opera, pop, eighties, nineties, almost anything really), film (particularly fond of cheesy horror, good horror, thrillers, costume drama's, martial arts, cartoons, superheroes, kids films, fantasy - favourite film is still currently Fight Club), art (modern and classical, wouldnt claim to know all about it and am still learning, but love galleries, when I get the time to mooch around), the company of my friends (the one thing that makes life worth living is good company, and knowing you have friends around you who will be there if you need them, no matter what. I am lucky to be able to say that I have some of the best friends you could ask for!)..
Cannot stand - liars, cheats, people who seek out and use others who are vulnerable, injustice, discrimination of any kind and strangely, modern jazz.
Can nearly cope with - heights, spiders, bugs in general
I have been described as "scarey" by some people, I think that is moer to do with sometimes being a bit loud (usually when drunk!) and over compensating for a strange shyness that sometimes overcomes me!! I feel like I am not good at making small talk, although I have been told that I am!! Can talk to almost anyone though if the need arises and am particularly good, and seem to attract, old people and mad people on buses!! (It's a gift!). I generally try to live my life by the principle of "what goes around, comes around", and try my best to be a nice person, although, like everyone, I have good days and bad days!!
I work in community development, which I love. It has enabled me to do real things to improve the area where I live and make steps in the right direction to improve facilities for local people. Its a great job, and I know that I am lucky to have it!! I work part time at the moment so I can do other things. The main "other thing" is The Miss Jinny Show, which I have been presenting for over two years now. Started off with Kristy 18 producing and Ray co-presenting, then it was all change and DJ Echo came along and did that, then Cyberaidan and Zioncomplex helped out and these days the main co-presenters are Skinfitz and Chrisptofu, and there are a host of others who regularly contribute. I shall stop going on about that now, it will all be on the website soon enough, or on myspace (missjinnyshow).
