It is a widely known fact that Domestic Abuse is a cycle that begins in childhood and is often passed down through generations of families. Children who are exposed to and grow up in a domestically violent environment are more likely to become abusers or victims of domestic abuse in their adult life.
The objective of the D.A.S.H. Program is to address and educate about this issue at a young age in order to break the cycle of abuse. the ULTIMATE objective of the D.A.S.H. Foundation is to mandate education on domestic violence in the public school system, grades 7 through 12.
The program is designed to address junior and senior high school students to inform and discuss the warning signs of an abusive relationship (including “Dating Violence”) as well as to provide preventative measures. Focus is also on Self-Esteem, a major issue in the prevention of domestic violence.

About me: All my life I have been surrounded by people of diverse cultures. It has sparked something deep inside of me to say the very least. I have strong beliefs and values, but I'm extremely open to learning about the values and beliefs of others. I feel like it is incredibly important to find and express who I am. Moreover, I crave to find a meaning in the world around me and to improve my surroundings. I have a need to help people. I want to know how other people live in different countries. I feel like I need to be immersed in different religions, cultures, and societies. There is no better way to learn about a culture than to live within it. I want to live in various communities unlike my own and understand their ways of life. Not only do I have this drive to experience how they live firsthand, but I have a need for complete understanding of the culture and its beliefs as well. One day I will experience the world, not with the knowledge of one individual, but with the knowledge of individuals who live across the globe.

Thanks Robyn ... no, we're not sure when the premier will be yet - we're looking at March for a final cut with sound editing and scoring, so prolly around then, but we'll be sure to send out a huge announcement that you won't be able to miss! Have a Merry Christmas and safe and happy New Year.
Well, It started out pretty typical. Facial at 10am. Manicure at 11. Lunch Massage at 2pm...... didn't have enough time for my afternoon nap. Don'tcha just LOVE MONDAYS!
Well, Just wanted to check in and let you know I'm ok. Been kinda lazy lately. Ain't nothing wrong, just lathargic. Is that a word? Is it spelled rite? Hope you have a great weekend. Even if you don't hear from me keep the comments coming. I promise I read every one, and delight in hearing from you. Even if you don't have anything to say your pic looks really good on my page. You know, it adds "class", so keep 'em coming. I promise I'll try to do better. Now, coming up - FRIDAY NIGHT". Get out there. Have a good time, but be careful.
Hey Robyn! Incase you are wondering who I am... I saw you at the South Aiken pageant and I was talking with your mom while you were waiting to interview. Anyway my mom used to babysit Keeley a long long time ago. :-) You look amazing!!! How are your mom and sister doing? Is Keeley on myspace too? Great to see you on here!
Thank you, Ms. Robyn!!!! Hope everything is great for you in SC! Here for another two weeks then back to Paris. Hope to see you in 2008! Lots of love, Jordan
Well just wanted to stop by. I'd like to say I've been really busy and just haven't had time to drop a comment your way, but the reality is just that I've been unusually lazy. There is no excuse that I can think of, well, I could think of something but it would just be a lie!! A LIE! Here's the deal...I've been napping most afternoons, watching Dexter, Brotherhood, K'ville, or a DVD movie in the evening, the regular pampering regiment in the daytime. So, here I am, humbled, bowed head, begging your forgiveness. I am reaching out to you for your compassion and a simple comment from you to let me know we're, you know, still hommies. Know I'm Sayin?
WEll, it's my birthday, and I had a dream. I had a birthday party at "Chuckie Cheese". Just me and Chuckie. Had the whole place to myself. It was cool though. Kinda like "Elvis". The Govenor gave me the key to a city. I asked him which one. He said they hadn't had any volunteers yet. I asked him why it had been locked in the first place... In the city we had a parade down the 400 block of Main St. Ever watched a one block parade? It doesn't take very long. At Walmart they called my name over the intercom, "Tim Jones your prescription is ready".. I made a generous donation to charity and it got written up in the paper - when they discovered the check was bad. It's like the Kenny Chesney song, "Don't Blink" 56 years goes by quicker than you think! Oh, and thanks for the kind note. Tim ;-)
Congratulations on your fabulous community leadership and recent proclaimation! I'm sure your work educating others about abusive relationships will benefit many teens.
