Music, reading,cooking, baking,shopping, lip gloss. I love studying religion; whether it is Christianity, Judaism, Buddism or Hinduism.
| | Music | I have very eclectic musical tastes. I listen to everything from old school funk, R&B and soul to classical. I still occasionally listen to my old punk CD's. Anyone remember Minor Threat and Government issue?
Some of my favorites are: John Prine, Todd Snider, Jeff Buckley, John Hiatt, Buddy Guy, Susan Tedeschi, older Bonnie Raitt, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Carbon Leaf, Widespread Panic, Morphine, Foo Fighters, Keb Mo, Steve Earl, old Liz Phair (she was so much better when she was pissed off), Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Common, Lucinda Williams, Buddy Guy, Miles Davis, Ray LaMontagne, REM, of course The Ramones, Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas, I kinda even like Justin Timberlake. I love Gospel too. Some of my favorites are Mary, Mary, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and The Gaithers. In Spanish, I love Mana, Nek and Alex Sanz. My favorite mezzo soprano will always be Kiri Te Kanawa. Kathleen Battle and Audra McDonald have exquisite voices. Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughn, Sam Cooke, Dinah Washington, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand (before she went off the deep end), and Sam Cook are some of the people I grew up listening to and singing with on my Mom's record player (remember those?).
| | Movies | Mostly classics, westerns and indie films. Anything directed by Jim Jarmusch. "Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything-Julie Newmar". My all-time cheesy favorite? "Buckaroo Banzi and the Eighth Dimension". "Leaving Normal". I love John Cusak. Cary Grant,Spencer Tracy, Randolph Scott and Gary Cooper (they don't make 'em like they used to. My favotirte actresses are Kate Blanchett and Angelina Jolie. Favorite actors? Hmmmm. I like Billy Bob Thornton, Sam Elliot and George Clooney; but there really aren't and male actors who can compare to those oldies but goodies.
| | Television | Anthony Bourdain and Globe Trekker on the Travel Channel. I love City Confidential, cop, crime, forensic and medical shows. I watch "Army Wives", "The Closer", "Saving Grace", "Most Evil" and "The New Detectives". I pretty much watch The History and Discovery Channels. I will never cop to QVC, HSN and ShopNBC, but my credit card bill tells the tale. I will always love Sex and the City. My all-time favorite is "Gunsmoke". If I were Miss Kitty, Matt Dillion wouldn't have gotten away...

I am always looking to make new friends; people who inspire and educate me; people who make me smile just by being there. I am very open minded and respect different beliefs, even if I don't share them.
I am divorced and after many romantic disappointments, have given up on finding someone to share a life with. I am a hopeless romantic and I still believe in love; but I finally realized not everyone is as honest with their heart as I am. I have carefully but firmly removed my heart from my sleeve.
I love the outdoors-canoeing, hiking, gardening. Just being outside, listening to the birds and wind in the trees puts a smile on my face. It is sad that people just go about their day, not noticing the world around them.
I am also into shooting sports, mostly pistol. My favorite is the Colt Gov't Model 1911 45acp. I think the Colt .45 is the best all around gun.
I am a world class shopaholic. If there is a place to shop w/in 100 miles, I'll find it. I am kind of a girly girl mixed with tomboy. I am totally addicted to lip gloss, can't live w/out it.
I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I started studying voice at 12. I studied opera, but I love singing blues, folk and country.
I was in a car wreck in 1993 and am now what my Doctor calls functionally disabled. Getting back from my injury and spinal fusion surgery has been a tough fight. I am tough and usually refuse to give in to my pain. It doesn't always work, but a date with Ben and Jerry usually helps.
