The girl with the curl right in the middle of her forehead...
Miss le bomb aka Catriona Shaw has previously played on the underground electropop circuit under various spooky guises - lead singer of Queen of Japan, founding member of infamous Munich-based punk club Club le Bomb and a visual artist she has collaborated with many different musicians and performers including Electronicat, Gerhard Potuznik, Isabel Reiss, Hans Platzgumer, Kamerakino, Bulent Kullukcu and more.
Also a talented visual artist, Catriona Shaw translates her personal observations about art and popular culture into sketches, videos, and music. Her comic-like narratives arise spontaneously, as though they were diary entries in response to her surroundings. Stories about life and death, characters from the pop or art world, and animals who play human roles reflect her socially critical but usually also humorous thoughts.
She also designs, illustrates and does ’drawing installations’ trying to push the boundaries of the genre to the limit, more recently where her drawings were utilised as storyboards for short films see here
GALERI BABERTON - The monthly gallery space for doodles and secret drawings presents its real virtual opening in Berlin... coming back in the new year!
Some reviews of Miss le Bomb:
"No shrinking violet, Miss le Bomb charmed the crowd with her instant charisma and dynamic performance, with ace outfit, nifty dance moves and quirky songs, using just a laptop and proficient Casio keyboard (a Casio that sounds like a Hammond organ?!), oh yeah, and that cool cover of Come Together, complete with quiet, little grunts into the mic and expansive stage exploration." (Andy Richardson)
"..Catriona Shaw, aka Berlin-based Edinburgh ex-pat Miss Le Bomb and formerly one third of electro-art covers band Queen of Japan, just can’t stop showing off. Dressed in red sequins, Elvis vest and a laptop-created electro-funk squelch, she covers ‘Jealous Guy’ (in the vaguest sense) while rolling on the floor amidst us, composes the world’s first and surely never-to-be-bettered musical tribute to budget airlines, and eulogises the act of band-love with the memorable not-really-rhyming couplet ‘Babe, I wanna come/I see you playing drums’. It’s all just a bit stupid, really. But some kind of brilliant, too."

Some reviews of Jealousy:
UGLY WRITING blog says:
Miss Le Bomb: One of those rare and beautiful instances in which wonky pop sensibilities manage to dodge the sand bank of twee and the lake of pretentiousness and land squarely in the hole marked "perfect for my next DJ set". The pretentious decoder says, ’it’s enjoyably amateurish female fronted electro pop!
You can buy mp3s of Jealousy and some other Miss le Bomb tracks at Yoosic or on VINYL from all good record stores
An eclectic EP telling the untold story of no-sex-we’re-british, jealous transvestites
and cheap flights to dark places. Using her much-adored non-general midi yamaha keyboard,
Miss le Bomb presents us with the rakehand dance, a new step to the beat. Miss le bomb has
created a bum-wiggling selection of danceable mutant pop, messy disco and girl garage with
absurd yet socially-concious lyrics. This pop ain’t for everyone, only the sexy people so
all you fly mothers come on out there and dance the rakehand dance.

Ok, it's the Goodiepal here so full of anger, yes this time it's war.
There is no easy way for Scandinavia, so since they have more or less kicked me out of the education system in my own country, this is the only thing I can do...
Right now I'm recording a manual for the last seven years of my activities, all the stuff called Mort Aux Vaches Ekstra, and I'm bringing it online on my Myspace profile...
Please keep coming back, since I make a new upload every time I finish one, and due to space problems on the service, I delete the old one right away.
- not just that I try to record a 90s sounding track for each chapter... - basically to prove the absurdity of the Scandinavian academic world since they will not let me teach radical computer music but only the kind of crap that was made when I was a kid and the world was so new and I did not know shit of things.
So, it will take some time since I have to boot all the old gear up here in the blue house. But, hang on! - You know I will not let you down...
So yes, to understand part of what I have been talking about for the last seven years, you have to come to the profile and listen, not read! We are trying to scramble all this information from artificial and alternative intelligences.
And one more thing... We will of course upload it all to the V/Vm website when Mr. James Kirby is online again and has time...
So for now, please come to my profile and listen to the decay of Scandinavia. After that you can judge me and simply just call me off as being mad but at least give it a try!
You know that it means a lot to me - I mean it's my life...
The diary of a missing person gives disturbing clues to his disappearance. An insomniac relies on his radio to offer company during the long hours of the night. Amongst the fuzz and static in between stations the thoughts of his neighbours begin to intrude upon the airwaves. As he eavesdrops on the lives of those around him we become acquainted with a number of characters and their stories, the amusing, the eccentric, the everyday and the plain odd. But amongst the banal babble of his neighbour's lives lurks another more sinister sound.......
An innovative and surreal Lovecraftian tale which incorporates music, sound effects and field recordings to present a chilling but darkly amusing story of voyeurism and the intimacy of the radio voice.
Good evening. I'm the one you didn't meet in the Tramway. Wish I'd seen you perform after hearing your tunes here. But Vernon keeps me locked in a cupboard if we're not doing a gig. Best wishes, Burns.
