Influences
Everything she's ever heard.
FYI...
Mischievia does more than sing, play keyboards, program, & produce... she also dances in the Las Vegas 10-member strong belly dance troupe "Ah Ya Helu". The girls are gorgeous unto themselves, & beyond incredibly beautiful when seen together on a stage, each uniquely talented, and lead by the multi-faceted and amazing professional dancer/choreographer extraordinaire Ashtelea!!! It's cabaret belly dance and beyond like nothing else you've seen before!!!

From sitting on live crocodiles in West Africa, to a committed five hours of cardio a week, to being told by doctors she'd never play keyboards again... this zealous and talented keyboardist/singer/songwriter/programmer lives and breathes every single day with an unstoppable fire and passion rival only to Mount Olympus!!
THE ESSENCE
With a studio mantra and musical focus of "a sound that bridges geography and genre - a sound that spans the world,"and eclectic influences like Janet Jackson and long-dead classical pianist Rachmaninov, reggae king Bob Marley, and English gem Cold Play, who knows exactly what this innovative blue-eyed blond might conger up from one song to the next. Perhaps her up-coming debut CD (indie release) will shed some spotlight onto the subject...
THE SOUND
Describing her music as "energetic, strong, and sexy", the often smirky Mischievia easily entices the listener to become entranced with it's infectious rhythms, up-beat energy, and bi-polar mesh of soft and brash vocals.". . . a sort of Kylie Minogue meets Pink at a Madonna vs Tina Turner mud-wresting match, refereed by No Doubt, maybe," she laughs. A pounding kick drum and percussive keyboards are only part of what you'll find on a typical Mischievia spin. Unique blends of buzzy and sometimes quirky keyboards help texture the loops and samples that intertwine with the vocals, creating a danceable mesh of unbeatable groove. And speaking of vocals, don't be surprised if they go from innocent, and goddess-like, to something that snarls and nearly bites you, all in under ten seconds. (Did we mention she's a Gemini?). Lyrics are straight-forward and to the point... and profanity free (thank goodness)!! Proof that sexy can still be classy, and impact can come in forms other than four-letter-words.
ROOTS
Born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, surrounded by an entire family rooted in music, the highly-spirited songstress recalls her childhood as being strongly influenced by an accordion-touting father, steel-string guitar/ukulele/organ/piano-playing church-choir mother, and a drummer/guitarist/keyboardist for an older brother. "Music is just something I do," she claims. (Yeah, we definitely noticed!!). Discovering the piano at age three and starting lessons at age five may have had something to do with it too. Already an accomplished pianist/keyboardist by the age of sixteen, professional performer by seventeen, her excavation into music technology began blossoming soon thereafter, and opened a spacious new realm of digital exploration and performance to come.
RESUME
Spending time in cover bands playing nightclubs, (longest being with Canadian female-fronted 'Rumours') helped season her for the live venue where she could be found both out front and behind keyboards, belting out melodies, sometimes adorning boas for hair accessories, and fronting shows by drawing on her belly dance training as part of her stage persona. Career highlights include performances with older brother Brent (former drummer for Canadian platinum-selling band Theory Of A Deadman, Vince Neil of Motley Crue and Alice Cooper), ghost keyboarding for "RockStar, the Tribute" @ Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, keyboardist/vocalist/dancer for African-Canadian artist CoffieMan, short-film work for Ridley Scott, indie movie soundtracks, to currently working on studio tracks for her upcoming second album after her debut release of "Harem Of Me" (coming soon to CD BABY!)
IN THE NOW
Today, she plays, programs, and records nearly every piece of her music in her Las Vegas home-studio. Focused on formulating catchy pop hooks, and aggressive rhythmic foundations, there's no reason why this communicative Mercurial won't snag a spot in the global music universe one day soon. We've decided... we like your groove Mischievia!

Hi Gorgeous, How are you ? It's been a minute ! I hope that all is well with you, your family and your music endeavors. I'm doing good and still working on my extremely delayed new CD but I'm getting there soon (hopefully) Just dropping by to say "Hi" and send my love and well wishes your way. Take care, stay safe and have a wonderful week ahead beautiful lady !
I love that old piano, even though I can't play it very well. It's kind of beat up...but that piano's been through a lot. And the fact that it was built in 1942 in the middle of World War II is pretty cool. Very few pianos were being built at that time because materials to build things were being used for the war effort. it's nice that in the middle of such a turbulent time, this little grand was created to bring music into the world.
