About me:
Mike Ferguson lives in Grandview, MO with his two children, Austin and Amber. He is an Alderman, representing Ward III after being elected in April of 2009.
Mike is a communications and campaign consultant with a business background in the staffing and human resources field. He is the founder and president of Focal Point Communications, a communications, public relations and campaign strategy consulting business. He earned the Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) certification from the American Staffing Association in 2006.
In addition to his work in staffing and human resources, Mike works with both non profit organizations and colleges in the Kansas City area to help prepare people for the workforce. He serves on the Advisory Boards of three small colleges, where he helps evaluate proposed changes to business curriculum. Mike is a regular guest speaker at the schools and is an adjunct instructor at one of the colleges.
In 2008, Mike was the National Field Director for the Bob Barr Presidential campaign. ..
