First and foremost - MUSIC!!! I have been playing music all of my life, and have been playing guitar better than 23 years... I love playing music for friends, and people in the "know"... I'm no slouch...
As far as recorded music is concerned, anything that is only available on Vinyl is probably a good synopsis of my interests in music - I am a true hardcore devoted music geek. My true love is old R & B and Soul - and I buy way too much vinyl for my own good.
I love movies - but will not go out to the movies. I watch Sundance, IFC, and Flix when I want to see movies, and those 3 channels will be the only one's I am watching out of the possible 300 channels of cable I am paying for each month.
I love talking to women - I don't know why, I just do. Probably because I am a man - and they are sources of good information - and it looks good :)
I will go anywhere by myself - just because I want to go somewhere. I meet more people that way. I love challenging social situations.
I love playing music for people - even if it is the same shit over and over.
I am a geek at heart - so anything geeky - I like it... EXCEPT - Star Wars, and video games - I could give a shit about either of those things - and maybe alot of other things like that. I have never ever finished a video game in my life. Star Wars is about as interesting as watching the water dripping from my leaky faucet. Star Wars is 2 hours of my life that I will never get back - kind of like watching "Coyote Ugly" - yeah - that one made me angry because I really thought I could be doing better things with that time - like getting my teeth cleaned or something. Chances are I would have been happier strapped to a dentist's chair versus watching that horrible piece of crap.
There is just too much to list - I think of myself as a unique person - but I am not everyone's cup of tea - maybe... Ask, and I will tell you anything you want to know...
Music
Music - don't even get me started... If it was recorded prior to 1980 - I have probably heard it, or heard of it, or have it on vinyl... I have close to 2000 Records - and they are like my children... I guess I have alot of children... In a few years - I think albums will collectively turn into my largest collection of anything - may even take over every bit of wall space I have at that point... I will always buy them, and always love finding and searching for good music on vinyl... It is my biggest passion...
I am a Frank Zappa freak, but save him for special occasions... R&B and Soul of the 60's and 70's... I gravitate towards southern soul, my favorite being Memphis Soul - Stax Records, etc... Atlantic also released some incredible stuff...
There are songs that make me cry - whereas nothing else does... Music to me is sacred. There are songs the give me chills, and ones that make me feel things that I have difficulty expressing in words. If there is something that I can't explain, or something that I can't say - I will find a song to fit the bill - to make someone understand...
Music is the soundtrack of my life - and a presence always in my mind, my thoughts, and the way that I live my life. Music affects everything I do - and pushes me into everything that I have done so far in my life. It was fundamentally what made me leave Palmyra, NJ 9 years ago, and why I am where I am at now, moving to various towns, and different states with different people, and through different relationships, and situations.
Music is why I am where I am, and why I am who I am. Without it, I would be completely empty and my life would not have much meaning. Every song I ever hear - is documented in my mind on a timeline - and each of those songs are historically significant to me for one reason or another.
Movies
Yeah, I like alot of movies too... I'm into the indies, and the oldies - but never a huge fan of ones pre-1960, but they are some mixed in there... That shit's too cheesy for me... My favorite movies are the ones from the 60's and 70's... Haven't been to see a movie since "The Aviator" - which stems from my fascination with Howard Hughes (I have alot of books on him)...
Television
Nothing but the good shit: All in the Family, alot of stuff on A&E or Discovery, Independent Film Channel, Adult Swim, Family Guy, Simpsons, City Confidential, Viva La Bam, Flix, Sundance - and damn do I love that Weather Channel!!!
Books
Non Fiction - all Non Fiction.. Love Biographies, Politics, Real Life stuff...
My Favorite Book to read is probably Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - it's laced with facts and more dramatic flair... Makes for a good read...
My favorite type of book to read is a good music Biography, such as "Trouble Man" about Marvin Gaye, or "This Wheel's on Fire" - by Levon Helm, chronicaling "The Band" during their early years...
I have some wonderful books, and love books, and own hundreds of them, and maybe one day, I will have the time to read all of them...
Heroes
James Stewart and Estelle Axton, Berry Gordy, Tom Dowd, and a host of other pioneers... Anybody who came from nothing, and made a name for themselves doing what they love, or have a passion for...
Anybody who has in the past or who is presently sticking it to the fascist pigs that are running our country....

I have been playing guitar for 24 years, and have at times in my life done it semi-professionally. I also sing and have done some voice work. I hosted various open mics in the Reading/Allentown area, and was involved heavily in the music scene in t
I was sitting in Savannah a few weeks after I moved there, and I needed a new E-mail address that wasn't being used by anyone else (I still have thebigeast@yahoo.com - for about 8 years or so - which I was lucky to get - someone actually E-mailed me once to bitch at me because I stole "his" email address, saying he was the "real" thebigeast... He had some numbers at the end of his "thebigeast" E-mail address, and I did not, since I was the first to choose the address... I hate having numbers anywhere in an E-mail address for some reason)...
All of the new E-mail addresses I was trying were ones that were being used by other people, or that needed some additional characters to be unique...
At the same time, I was homesick - and I was trying to think of something that would speak of my love for and loyalty to Pennsylvania - I thought to myself, I miss Pennsylvania - I miss Pennsyltucky - MISS PENNSYLTUCKY! Sure enough - I actually picked out something unique - and registered at all of the free E-mail sites, including hotmail, yahoo, aol, etc...
I also thought there were many meanings in MissPennsyltucky - Like I actually miss living there, but I also thought of it as being like "Miss Pennsylvania", like if I sent someone an E-mail to surprise them, which I have done before, I could confuse them a little... I like to play the game "You'll never guess who this is" over E-mail or chat - and see how long it took for them to figure it out... They are like - are you a chick, or what? So when they ask - I tell them - "I just miss Pennsylvania alot", so I thought it would be funny to mention Pennsyltucky somewhere else other than in the hills of PA... People in Georgia and Florida got a kick out of it when I told them what my E-mail address was - and always required an explanation of some type...
I used to see a band in Savannah, and I gave the keyboard player my E-mail, and he says "MissPennsyltucky - where the hell is Pennsyltucky?"... I told him it was the area between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh - "Just take the "Pennsyl" out of Pennsylvania and the "tucky" out of Kentucky and put it together - and for real - I really do MissPennsyltucky!"
After I gave him the rundown, and from that point on, if I was there to see the band (which was quite often - they were the only good cover band in all of Savannah) - Darryl would mention the word "Pennsyltucky" in the middle of "Superstition", or while playing "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" or whatever... It was our little joke, and he still refers to me as "Pennsyltucky" to this day, as did the other members of the band...
My E-mail address "MissPennsyltucky" always seems to raise some questions when people see it or hear me speak it... They don't know what to make of it.. I have had to explain it so many times to people and it has gotten so many comments, I seem to think I chose a great E-mail address - and a unique one at that...
I have also considered having a "Miss Pennsyltucky" pageant... Wouldn't that be the shit????
Anyway - there you go...

Who I'd like to meet: everybody - I'd like to meet everybody... Well, almost everybody...
I enjoy conversation - and music - and maybe conversation about music - and just about anything else. I enjoy and appreciate uniquity, genius, and intelligence overall... If you think of yourself as any of the above 3 - I'd like to meet you...

Hi there, I know It's kind of early but I wanted to make sure I get to everyone on my friends list because this is one of my favorite holidays of the year. I am a proud American and the 4th of July is a day to remember all those who have fought and are still fighting for our freedom. While we Sleep They Wake, While We enjoy our bbq's and swim in the pool.. They're defending our borders and eating sand. I salute all the men and women who make it possible everyday for my children and I to live a free life and if you are one of them ~~ From the bottom of my heart I THANK YOU!!! So Please take a moment on the 4th and remember what it really stands for... That Red White and Blue is not just a piece of cloth.. It is a SYMBOL of our freedom and the men and women who fight for it.
Happy Independence Day!!!! ~Kim
I'm Proud To Be An American Written By Lee Greenwood
If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life, And I had to start again with just my children and my wife, I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today, 'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.
I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free, And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me, And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, ' Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.
From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee, Across the plains of Texas from sea to shining sea. From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A. , There's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say:
I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free, And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me, And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, ' Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.

for some reason i decided to look at my myspace pics and couldn't help but think of the good ol' days! there are some classically hilarious pics and you and yours truly.....
I was bummed that you didn't make it. I wanted to do a dry run on my new karaoke system before a march 20th gig and I thought you would be great for that.
it was good seeing you last night, even though it was short. i should probably start sneaking into bars and such more than once every few months. that's the only time i get to see you. =(
I am really really happy we got to get to know each other better over the last year and a half. You are a wonderful person, and a treasured friend. Thank you!
