Strange, awkwardly sized creatures lost in unsettling landscapes characterise the paintings of Julie McDermott, aka Miss Ping, an artist based in Brighton, UK.
Miss Ping plays the cat synths, vocals and harmonica along with Pete Lush, making up the melancholy combo Things in Herds. Projections of massive chicken armies are often seen at Herds shows alongside album artwork featuring tyrannical zebras and miserable looking ducks.
