In a world of cheap gimmicks and shallow lifestyles, where celebrities are crowned and destroyed in a breath, where Peter Andre just wont fuck off, one band sits by calmly and documents this awfulness and then spews it back into the face of a confused populace who are probably thinking, 'What have I done to deserve that?!'
That band is MISSPINKSHOES.
We're all to blame so fucking deal with it baby!! But fear not, they bring a message of love first & foremost. Inspired by the reformation of Take That, MISSPINKSHOES formed in 2006 to challenge all the generic indie bullshit that even to this day stinks up the radio waves. The Kooks being the biggest offenders of this insipid fucking shit wave of music.
Loyal to no particular style of music, MISSPINKSHOES' sound runs the gamut of genres, from Metal to Disco, 50's doo-wop to Electronica, Latin to Power-Ballads all put through the grinder and shat into the ears of whoever will listen.
They have a rich musical history, Lloyd & Sarah having spent years as 2 of The Vengaboys but splitting with their colleagues after disputes over their increasingly outrageous stage wear, the turning point being when Lloyd was asked to wear nothing but a pink crop-top in a performance for the then President of the USA, Bill Clinton.
Rob Joyce was, for decades, Guitarist with Papa Roach, the terrible 'nu-metal' band. Tim Beckett drummed for Bowie between '85 and '91 and bassist Ant Rosher was Bass tech for Sting for a few months after a case of mistaken identity.
So with a live show that has to be seen to be believed, MISSPINKSHOES are an insanely exciting prospect that you should devote your life to following because what the fuck else are you gonna do?! Get a full time job to support your family? LOSER!!
Their latest release is the 'SEXUAL' EP and it's available to buy now.
