Miss Pole Dance 2003
The Miss Pole Dance Network of competitions came into being to give spectators an impression of the ladies who practice pole dancing. The very first competition took place on August 29th 2003 in the Netherlands and was made up of participants from France, Germany, Poland and Spain
Miss Yocoima Gutierrez of Venezuela won the title and it is her image that lays on the logo today.
2005 was the first year the UK joined the organisation with three ladies heading the competition. Nicky Taylor of Cardio Pole (retired), Kay Penney owner, Managing Director of PolePassion.com and Sam Kirlie of shakenswing.com. The competition was a huge and amazing success and a sell out of more than 700 onlookers.
Elena Gibson won the crown and title with her breath taking performance.

2005 Holland staged the first World Pole Dancing event in Novemeber, with countries across the globe battling for the world title. Japan is the current title holder with the unique performance of Reiko
2006 the competition rules tightened due to the seriousness of the competition in the quest for the dance and exercise to be taken seriously. The 9 week Pole Dancing competition and festival, the first and largest in the world to be held throughout the summer of 2006 in the surfing capital of Newquay, a challenging task that certainly put pole dancing on the map and headed by Kay Penney National and International judge and expert, licence holder of the Miss Pole Dance UK 2006 grande finalie and finals on August 31st 2006.

Tracey Simmonds winner, in the closest competition to date with Amber Rosia coming a very close second.

Congratulations go to:
Sally Anne Giles representing the glamour category is now officially crowned as the new
Miss Pole Dance UK 2007 in the singles category with her awesome energetic performance, the 5 judges overwhelmingly agreed on her charismatic performance, coupled with her fun personality and obvious passion for pole performing decided to award Sally first position
Genevieve Moody and Sussie Walsh are now officially crowned as
Synchronised doubles champions with their phenomenal acrobatic performance, beautifully choreographed and then went on the win the special award of the evening of best pole tricks award
Deb Riley is now officially second runner up in the UK singles category with an outstanding performance narrowly missing the title award.
In third place was Amber Rosia with her unique show and personality catching the crowds and judges attention.
