The TRUE definition of what it is to be a TRIPLE THREAT TALENT. Here are a few projects U may have seen me in.
Music
I, Porscha Coleman, was born on July 12th in Van Nuys, California. I am a multi-talented up and coming true triple threat, who was blessed with the ability to sing, dance, act, and have entertained audiences for over 15 years now. At the tender age of three, my mom and older brother recognized my natural ability to sing a song, from beginning to end, ad-libs and all with ease. I loved to entertain my family, friends, and anyone who became and audience for me. I loved to sing to the karaoke tracks of Janet Jackson, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Toni Braxton, to just name a few, when I was only five years old. I even loved to practice to the sounds of Boyz II Men, Jodeci, and New Edition. Practicing with them helped me develop my lower registers of voice, which is an asset.
By the age of eight, I began my career in acting through the assistance of a top children’s agency, and worked on many television shows, commercials, and films. At age 11, I attend Millikan Middle School for Performing Arts in Sherman Oaks, California, and I’m trained in all forms of dance and vocal stylings. My singing and performance ability allowed me to ace the lead role of “Dorothy” in The Wiz, as a 6th grader, beating out the 8th grade girls, that the director and fellow staff had in mind to cast. I continued my training by attending Hollywood High School of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California in 1999. I even won several talent shows and showcases throughout the Los Angeles County, and was called upon frequently to perform at banquets, fundraisers, toy drives, and on school tours. At the age of twelve, I won 1st place at the L.A. Inner City Cultural Talentfest 98’. My teachers were very impressed with my talent and later that year, I was deemed as being Gifted and Talented by the Los Angeles School District, which allowed me to receive additional training through their various programs. I would then attend Cal State Los Angeles for the Arts and receive training in multiple styles of dance, vocal rehearsals/technique, and intense acting classes.

I continued my training by attending Hollywood High School of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California in 1999. One of my biggest television highlights came in 2001, a day after my 16th birthday, when I sang live to Jennifer Lopes’ hit song, “Waiting for Tonight” on the hit show, “The Great Pretenders” on Fox Family Channel. I won 1st place and retained various prizes as the karaoke winner. Shortly after, I auditioned and was chosen to become a LA Sparkid dancer, performing at The Staples Center during home games for the WNBA’s, Los Angeles Sparks. Once the season was completed, I joined Culture Shock L.A. Dance Troupe, which was an 18+ group, comprised of guys and girls of different races. They felt I had the skills and training necessary to handle the demands of team, even though I was underage. We toured around the city performing at local high schools, functions, and clubs. The following years would put Porscha Coleman's name, likeness, and talent even more on the map in the world of music, dance, and television.... In 2003, I booked a guest starring role on the hit television show, “The Parkers,” alongside Mo’Nique. I appeared as “Erica Willis,” and sang Amazing Grace, in hopes of joining the series’ co-stars singing group. I would grace two episodes of the UPN show. That same year, I booked a lead role in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Pixel Perfect,” where I played an earthy singer and lead guitarist for the films popular all girl rock/pop band. In 2004, I worked on a feature film where I played a crack addict named “Lil’ Bit” in the powerful film,“Woman Thou Art Loosed.” In 2007, I was cast on Nick Cannon’s “Wild “N” Out’s” Season 4, which allowed me to show the world her incredible comedic timing skills and singing abilities during the skits. Shortly after, a new show, produced by Ashton Kutcher, called “Room 401,” cast me as a regular. It was an incredible experience involving magicians.
