Hey! I'm SuZy and this page's purpose is for me to advertise my musical talents to the entire world...or something..! I play the piano and trumpet - I started playing piano when I was 5 and trumpet when I was 10 so have years of experience and taken many music exams.
During university I had a go at being in the concert band and brass band, but got bored of playing that music - it just wasn't what I was interested in. I eventually found myself in an established ska punk band called Munky Punch.
I joined the band in 2003 and stayed in the group until its demise in June 2006. Munky Punch had 8 members (including myself) and were known in Durham for playing 'shameless ska punk'. I am pleased I had the opportunity to play in Munky Punch and miss it loads now, but it couldn't last forever. We supported many bands including The Dead Pets, Howards Alias (Household Name), King Django (Stubborn Records), Pama International (Asian Man Records, Jamdown, Do The Dog), This Aint Vegas (Jealous Records), The Stockyard Stoics (Roots Rock Rebel Records).
So now I find myself in York and desperate to start playing music again. I've found a few other people who feel the same and am hoping that I'll be in a ska band again sometime soon.
In the meantime, the track on my profile is a sample of my trumpet playing. The song's called 'She'll Never Understand Football' by Munky Punch. It was recorded in June 2005 and features on the EP - The Urinal Countdown.
