DJ Machine, aka Dave Machinist, has made a name for himself in New York City as an exciting DJ with smooth mixing skills and original song selection. Drawing from New School and Old School Hip Hop, Top 100, Reggae, Reggaeton, House, R&B, Rock, Classic Rock, Breaks, Motown, Disco, Electro, Baltimore, 70s and 80s music, Machine creates signature sets with the energy of a live house band.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From 2003 to 2005, Dave earned his stripes by logging over two hundred live gigs while in college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in New York City. In May of 2005, Dave graduated and moved back home to New York in pursuit of a career in the music business. While working as a music supervisor by day, Dave gained valuable experience in licensing, the music and advertising industries, music research, and talent supervision. By night, Dave followed his dream of music entrepreneurship, DJing, producing, and beatboxing all over New York City. In June of 2007, two years of working and performing in the New York scene paid off and Dave was able to find enough clients to leave his job and start his own DJ and production business.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently, DJ Machine freelances in Manhattan and in the Hamptons performing at parties and nightlclubs, is creating mixtapes, managing his recording studio “The Sound Machine,” and producing original music with his band, Shinobi Ninja. His latest projects include an album and spring tour with Shinobi Ninja, drum duties for artists, Jonny on the Rocks and $trictly Bu$ine$$, and his “Fresh Gears” mixtape series. Machine and his DJ crew the Stonekutters recently took 2nd place in the 2008 DMC Teams USA Supremacy battle and will make a bid in win 1st in 2009.
