"Why scream when we can talk?" In the current trend of screaming kids begging for condolences in the wake of every hearts death and the many bands responding with songs on the personal battles of tortured individuals to touch the mourners. Mistaken Identity has decided against the idea follow suit. The quintets sophomore release following its debut EP Nicotine Induced will instead be an album injected with hope. As cliché as it may sound, they are looking on the bright side.
Everyone faces shit in life. However, after listening to record after record about stories on how people would spill blood and swallow bullets, I think its time to look for the answers, wake up and move on, claims singer-songwriter Illyas.
Conceived in March 2003 by founding members, Illyas and drummer Jarell along with stalwarts Timothy and Jonathan, the band welcomes its latest addition Harun on bass.
The relatively young band has had the pleasure of having their previous launch at Club Rouge and performing at numerous events such as Sembawang Fest, Tapestry, Singapore Street Festival and World Cyber Games 04. Slowly, but steadily garnering a loyal fan base.
Moving On, a full length CD containing 10 tracks with the inclusion of 2 collaborations, will be scheduled for a early october release. Its been a long wait, but its going to end.
