Mist & Sea began in 2001, when Jason met Vincent on random occasions in Melbourne. The two began to make plans and strategies for a musical project. There was talk about performances, new media projects, installations, RSL tours. The other half of Pretty Boy Crossover (Cailan) joined the duo in some lounge-room writing sessions, with the basic essentials: guitar and vocals. And then, after successfully being granted some cash from Arts Victoria, a 6 piece was set up for the purpose of writing and recording a full length LP - "Unless" (Popfrenzy, 2007). The line up for this album was Cailan Burns, Emma Bortignon, Phillip Collings, Vincent Giarrusso, Jed Palmer and Jason Sweeney.
Hundred Fire Management
presents a very special Friday Night Fire on Grand Final eve, Friday September
25, at Edinburgh Castle. On a weekend usually associated
with the big men of sport, Friday Night Fire will feature three of the best
female acts in Melbourne.
Kick this huge weekend off with Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, Suzannah Espie
and Krista Polvere. Doors at 9pm.
The
next Friday Night Fire takes place tomorrow night (Friday July 31) at Edinburgh Castle!
This
month features Major Chord, Lady Grey and Luke Sinclair of The Idle Hoes in a
special solo performance. Doors at 9pm, would be great to see you there.
Dan Lethbridge continues his June residency at Wesley Anne this Thursday with support
from one Tim Cannon. Come warm yourself by the open fire, have a drink
and relax with some fine music.

Six_events is a worldwide performance project, looking for the art in the everyday. So far, there will be hundreds of group/individual performances in Spain, America (13 states), Egypt, China, India, Greece, Japan, Italy, England, Scotland, Ireland, Finland, Portugal, Germany, Serbia, Canada, New Zealand, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Australia and Malaysia across the last week in January (21st-27th)
Document your performances with pictures/films/poetry/drawings and they will be exhibited in London in February.
