This is the second time in doing this, haha, don't know why I deleted the first profile! Anyway, I'm Paz, I'm 21, I'm from Southport and I'm currently studying Media and Popular Culture in Leeds at Leeds Metropolitan University. Looks like I've just finished that, and I'm pretty glad as its a rubbish course, even though somehow I got a 2:2 out of it, but Leeds is great.
I'm supposed to describe myself on here aren't I? Well, I suppose I'm a quiet person, I'm only ever loud when I want to be! I try to be funny, but Andy will probably claim I fail at that! I'm incredibly shy, especially with new people and the opposite sex!
I enjoy going out with my mates to the rock/metal nights in Leeds, especially Slam Dunk at The Cockpit on Tuesday nights and Star/Electrichead at Leeds Met Uni on Friday nights. Other than that, I enjoy watching films, watching the footy, listening to music, etc.
I'm a Blackburn Rovers supporter and season ticket holder, so I go to every home game. I should really make more effort to go to more away games as they are fun...hopefully some European matches next season eh?!
The Download Festival last year was awesome! Lordi, In Flames and Soil were the best bands of the weekend, closely followed by Arch Enemy, Hatebreed and Wicked Wisdom (seriously!). Highlights of the weekend: Seeing Metallica play 'Enter Sandman' and...SEEING WILL SMITH! He came onstage after Wicked Wisdom left, but unfortunately didn't sing. I'm still star-struck! Bring on next year!
And next year was brought! Once again the festival was excellent: fab bands, fab people, fab atmosphere...and the weather wasn't as stupidly hot this time round too, yay! Korn were the band of the weekend, making up for being total rubbish last year thanks to Jonathan buggering off, but also bands full of greatness over the weekend were: After Forever, Motley Crue, Lamb Of God, Bloodsimple, As I Lay Dying, Bowling For Soup, DevilDriver, Chimaira and even Evanescence (I'm giving credit where credit's due here, they were excellent, but no one else knows that as everyone else was watching Dream Theater, who I also wanted to see, but I wanted to see Amy Lee more, her new band (I liked them when they were in Dark New Day) were great live). One question though: Why does everyone love Iron Maiden? I just don't get it. They might have been the most boring band I saw over the weekend. Oh well. Anyway, another great Download, and I'm looking forward to next year, hopefully seeing everyone I did at the campsite this year again! Oh, and Pear Cider better be back next year too, or else there'll be chaos!
Yay, the legend that is Brother Kelly!
