Who I'd like to meet: Daniil Kharms would have been interesting to meet. A key member of the Absurdist writers from the early years of the Soviet Union. He was a faithful Party member, and he did not consider himself subversive, but it was easy to interpret his writing as criticism of the Party if you chose to interpret it that way, and his Absurdist style eventually was regarded as contrary to the ideals of socialism and he died in one of Stalin's Siberian prisons.

Hi, how is everything? I still haven't heard about our reunion, but I'm guessing it will be in six to seven months--they're almost always in the summer (though our last one was in October). I'm hoping to see a lot of us there!
