Mihai Nistor - as in Mistor, was born in Cluj Napoca, Romania in July 1988. He is one of the most promising new talent of the new electronic music DJs and Producers generation coming from Romania. As a young boy he loved sounds and the feelings that the music he was listening to for hours on end every day were stirring inside his soul.
After many year of listening to all kinds of music genres, he stumbled upon electronic music, which he then started to like more and more. He was always fascinate with the way that a DJ would transition from one song to the other in a more special and seamless way that you would not normally hear within an unmixed artist album.
When he was 15, he got introduced, by a DJ at a private party, to the Atomix Virtual DJ software which he then went on to explore in depth and learn all its tricks. At this time he started to frequent the electronic music clubs from his home town such as Oscar, Diesel, Obsession, and at the same time he would spend a lot of time right beside the DJs, trying to learn from their every move. One night, when he was at a normal club night at Diesel Club, he saw DJ Carlos playing the most beautiful House set that he had ever heard up to that moment which provoked in him the feelings that later convinced him that this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life - be a DJ.
After turning 17, in 2006, he began playing at small scale private parties for friends and class mates from high school. During this period he refined his taste in music going from electro house and progressive house to a more underground sound which at that time was Minimal and Techno. In 2007 he played a club for the first time and using CD's at Oscar Club where he later became the anonymous resident DJ who would start a very early warmup and dace through the guests main set every weekend just to be able to play a few more tracks before the club would shut down for the week. This helped him befriend the electronic music community from Cluj and he got to play warmup and afterhours sets for the likes of Pagal, Rhadoo, Raresh, Vox, Optick and many more.
When he saw that luck wasn't on his side and he never got noticed by the influential people inside the Romanian electronic music scene, he decided that, beginning 2008, he would start attending Music Production and Sound Engineering courses at the prestigious Point Blank Music College in London, UK, considered by many as the best college of its kind n the world. Here he had the opportunity to learn how to play music using turntables and vinyl records and then get into the wonderful world of electronic music production in all it's marvelous aspects.
Through his contacts at Point Bank, he managed to co-organize and play around London in 2008-2009 different clubs and bars like Hidden, 93 Feet East, Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Anam, Barcosa, Monty's Lounge, The Plumtree and many other private events.
Now in 2009, back home on a study break, he has begun to stir the attention of the Romanian and international music scene, having his first EP programmed for a release this summer at UberBeat Recrods UK, and some pretty big gigs lined up at The DEN (formerly The End, London) and Zoo Project in Ibiza
Now he is spending as much time as he can in a studio in Cluj producing tracks which he hopes he will one day be able to release on his favorite record labels like Cecille Records, Liebe Detail, Rekids, Safari Electronique, Moon Harbour, 8bit, Bla Bla and others.
This young talent seems to have a very bright future ahead of him and an ascension to match, so be on the lookout for him.

Mihai Nistor - adica Mistor, nascut in Iulie 1988 este unul din talentele promitatoare ale noii generatii de DJ si Producatori de muzca electronica din Romania.
Inca de tanar a fost iubitor de sunete si de senzatiile care i le oferea muzica pe care o asculta ore intregi in fiecare zi.
Dupa multi ani de ascultat muzica de toate genurile, a dat peste muzica electronica pe care a inceput sa o indrageasca din ce in ce mai mult. A fost mereu fascinat de felul in care un DJ trecea de la o piesa la alta intr-un mod mai special decat auzeai muzica pe un album muzical nemixat.
Cand avea 15 ani, a fost introdus de catre un DJ, de la o petrecere privata, softului Virtual DJ pe care a continuat sa-l exploreze si sa ii invete toate trucurile. In tot acest timp a inceput sa frecventeze cluburile de muzica electronica din Cluj Napoca precum Oscar, Diesel si Obsession, iar in acelasi timp petrecand mult timp pe langa maestrii platanelor. Intr-o seara normala la Clubul Diesel l-a auzit pe DJ Carlos punand cel mai frumos set de muzica House care l-a auzit pana la acel moment provocandu-i niste sentimente care mai tarziu l-au convins ca acela era lucrul care el dorea sa il faca pentru tot restul vietii - sa fie DJ.
Dupa implinirea varstei de 17 ani, in 2006, a inceput sa puna muzica la petreceri private la scara mica pe oriunde apuca. In tot acest timp, Mistor si-a rafinat gusturile muzicale trecand de la electro house si progressive house catre un sound mai undergroud care pe acea vreme era Minimal si Techno. In 2007 a pus pentru prima oara muzica la Club Oscar unde mai apoi a devenit rezidentul anonim care facea warmup-ul inca de devreme si statea tot timpul pana termina invitatul serii setul ca sa mai poata sa bage 2-3 piese inainte de inchidere. Prin aceasta cale s-a imprietenit cu comunitatea muzicii electronice clujene si a pus warm-up pentru DJ precum Pagal, Rhadoo, Raresh, Vox, Optick si multi altii.
Neavand norocul de a fi observat de catre oamenii cu influenta de pe scena muzicala romaneasca, a decis ca din 2008 sa inceapa sa urmeze cursurile prestigioasei scoli de productie si DJ - Point Blank Music College din Londra, Regatul Unit, considerata de multi ca fiind cea mai buna scoala de productie din lume. Aici a avut ocazia sa invete sa puna muzica de pe placi si mai apoi sa invete sa produca muzica electronica (si nu numai) in toate aspectele ei.
Prin intermediul colegilor de la Point Blank, a reusit sa co-organizeze si sa puna la diferite cluburi din Londra in perioada 2008-2009 printre care se numara si Hidden, 93 Feet East, Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Anam, Barcosa, Monty's Lounge si altele.
Acum in 2009, proaspat intors acasa intr-o pauza de studii incepe sa starneasca atentia scenei romanesti atat si celei internationale avand prima lansare de EP programata pe vara anului 2009 la UBERBEAT RECORDS, UK si de asemenea un show la The Den (Fostul "the end" din Londra) si la Zoo Project in Ibiza.
Acum a inceput sa petreaca din ce in ce mai mult timp intr-un studio din Cluj si are ambitia de a lansa materiale discografice la casele de discuri preferate precum Cecille Records, Liebe Detail, Rekids, Safari Electronique, Moon Harbour, 8bit si altele.
Acestui tanar talent se pare ca i se prezinta un viitor foarte stralucit si o ascensiune pe masura asa ca ramaneti cu ochii pe el.
