Misty Basement is a reggae band from The Netherlands.
With their own style, they create a positive vibe which immediately transfers to the audience generating a good vibe amongst all.
Originally the band started in the basement-flat of keyboard player Professor, this is where the foundation was laid for what Misty Basement has become today.
The band consists of 9 members;
Drums - Rewinder.
Bass - Bazy B.
Keyboards - Professor
Tenor Sax - Shaggy
Alt Sax - E mail
Trombone - Odi
Guitar/back-vox - Rasdan
Back-vox - Sista MuSa
Lead vocal - Misty Man
The style that they play varies from the relaxed One Drop to the energetic Dancehall, but cannot be classed or compared with any other reggae band due to the fact that they have their own unique style they call;
MISTY BASEMENT STYLE
As for their lyrics, they dont only concern matters of social and world problems or gambling addictions and war, but also about love, feeling good and rainbow children.
After a long and hard road the band finally released their debut CD The Same House independently, which contains tracks such as Hard Road and Give The Children.
On stage theyve already proven to be a dynamic and inspiring band. Through this the band has opened a door to a new style and a new time:

Been busy working extra hard in the studio. I can officially say I am working on my album, and so far I am really happy of the direction it is taking.
We are taking this one out of the box. Have a lot of great producer on board and I am really ex-tactic about the artist that will be sharing my album with me.

Hey hey!! It's Mischu Laikah....
I just recently finished writing and recording a new track on Renaissance's "Legal Riddim" title "To My Baby"!
It's a very controversial song about a girl having had an abortion, and regretting that she did. The name of the song is 'To My Baby'. Listen to it.. It has a strong message, and it might speak to a lot of people that (secretly) had a similar experience...
