Driving rhythms, original techniques, and refreshing lyrics, come from this LA artist. Pulling in elements of Bluegrass and Ragtime only to cook them with smart, catchy, pop hooks, and a current radio rock sound. Misty is quickly becoming a female artist that is rising above the rest.
After earning a BA in Criminal Justice, a successful college basketball career, years of experience in Youth Corrections, and a season in the Women’s Professional Football League, Misty finally found her calling.
This seasoned performer is re-defining the “singer/songwriter chic” genre. Misty’s intricate and percussive guitar playing is making the boys look bad……”cause girls just can’t play like that “. Her sultry voice can bounce from growl to croon without skipping a beat, leaving the listener with a craving for more. Driving rhythms, original techniques, and refreshing lyrics make it hard for the audience to ‘compare’ her to familiar artists, despite hints of a Dave Matthews and Tracy Chapman influence.
Capable of a brilliant delivery with or without effects, Misty often uses a Boss RC- 20 XL effects pedal, a Line 6DL4, a Digital Delay 5, Boss Octave pedal, and a Digital Delay 3, to enhance the already captivating performance.
In addition to the general public, Misty is catching the ears of industry vets and has been invited to play many legendary rooms including L.A.’s Viper Room, House Of Blues, Hotel Cafe, and The Whisky A Go Go. Having played alongside a number of prominent national artists such as Missy Higgins, Misty continues to learn from those before her by maintaining an open mind to new styles and new ideas in regards to writing - and it shows. Whether it’s a soft ballad laced with strings, or an explosive blend of electric guitar and acoustic riffs, one thing is for sure - you won’t be disappointed.
Born and raised in Colorado, Odell now calls Los Angeles home. Prior to the big move, Misty headed into the studio in 2005 to record her debut, self-titled EP. The first two tracks on the album, “Masterpiece” and “Your Body”, have received airplay on stations in Colorado, Alaska, Arizona, and Nebraska. After completing the album, Misty hit the road with tour partner Melissa Ivey, also a Denver native. The two headed north, where they played shows in Oregon, Washington, and California, in an effort to promote the new CD. Despite a string of unfortunate events (snow storms, car problems and more car problems), the two managed to make the dates, as well as new fans. Misty then headed out on a national tour with Matt Vrba, of San Francisco. The ‘Coast to Coast’ tour took them from California to New York, where the two played over 35 shows in 12 states, all in just under two months. The demand for Misty’s music is increasing rapidly from coast to coast and beyond – far beyond in fact. A publication in Madrid, Spain (“TodoSexo”, Madrid/2005) ran an article about Misty’s debut record release, touting the artist as a fresh new face in the singer/songwriter genre. Fans from all over the world are tapping into the new sound as well; Misty has sold CD’s in a number of countries, including Belgium, Australia, London, Iraq, the UK, Canada, Spain, Sweden, and more. Inspired by this positive feedback, Misty plans on heading to Europe at a date soon to be determined.
Misty’s newest release “The Couch Session”, is a live, acoustic album recorded in late 2006. The intimate recording has 11 new songs, and has proven to be just as popular as her first release.
In an effort to bring her music to new listeners Misty will continue touring nationally in promotion of both albums, which can also be purchased on ITUNES.
Track 1) is a good warm-up for song 2 but *VEEEEGAS* is my favorite song. Dynamic Duo) is what WE are when we chill together 3) is the amount of kick ass people who mentioned the beach for this weekend. Lets do it. Quattro) is the amount of times John has said "Misty needs to wear that awesome jacket again at my launch party"
Misty, I still love the old songs, can't wait for new ones! I would come & check you out for ladies night. But I'm in the Midwest. A wee bit far. When I visit my mother in law in Mo Valley...I will try to see a show! Much Respect & Love, Leiah Webb

Interest on that dime is accumulating with each passing day. I think it may be up to 13.8 cents at this point. That's like the equivalent of a drag off a cigarette. Man, I'm getting you where it hurts.
