Hey everybody - thanks for taking some time to stop by my site and check out my music. I hope you like what you hear. I'm just a Texas girl making a living in Nashville making music. I grew up writing songs and performing shows around Texas. I've had the awesome opportunity to open shows for Country music legends such as Bill Anderson and Don Williams. I started coming to Tennessee off and on back in 2000 to study with renowned vocal coach Renee Grant-Williams before settling permanently in Nashville in 2004. Since moving to town, I have played a lot of songwriter nights but occasionally you'll catch me rocking out with a full-band at some larger venues. So far Nashville has been really good to me and I've had a lot of amazing twists and turns on this crazy ride already. I recently began working with award-winning songwriter and producer Robert Ellis Orrall (Taylor Swift, among many others), and have had the opportunity to write with some other great writers. For now, I'm focusing on making music that's honest and real - so if that's what you like...you've come to the right site! ~m.rae~
