Kerrville TX,1st place at Merle Fest's "Chris Austin songwriters contest "(twice) 1st place at the Rocky Mt Folks fest. Mitch has told stories at The National Story telling fest in Jonesboro, TENN.
Mitch has a very original sound,and perfomance. Blending his Appalachian roots with other influences such as ,Old Country,Motown,Reggae.

I'm BMB Artist Management...I try real hard to get Mitch dates around the country. So many of you out there love Mitch Barrett and his music. You all want to know when he will be playing in your area. Well I’m here to help make that happen but I need your help.
Let’s create our own Mitch Barrett Universe and start spreading the word. I’m putting out a request for all Mitch Barrett fans to start helping us get some gigs.
Now how can you do that you ask… well you start looking for venues in your area, go in and tell them about Mitch and his music…take one of his CD’s in and ask them to take a listen. You don’t make a deal I’ll take care of that…you just get them excited about Mitch Barrett, so much so that they can’t wait to have him perform at their venue.
So you can’t find a venue…can ya fit 30 - 40 - 50 folks in your living room or back yard? Can you say “House Concert”! We can show you how easy it is to host a show. What a great thing to have an award winning singer/songwriter and storyteller like Mitch Barrett come to your house. You call and invite all those friends and co-workers over to finally hear who you’ve been talking about for so long.

thought we might catch you during the holidays but we were in and out too quick anyway.. got the re-released cd today at the Promenad(sp?) gallery I told the kids i remember when it came out on casette wow has it been 14 years?! And it is still a great album. got a new telecaster for christmas.I can never have enough guitars. All is well. Blessings Jesse & Co.
