Rex Wherry (Bass guitar) is a long standing friend and bandmate from the Romeo Dog days. Steve Wood will be carrying the bulk of the drumming chores for 2011 as Mitch is going for more of a mainstream rock approach, but still maintaining the southern tendancies he is so noted for. Steve played drums with Mitch in "Romeo Dogs" and is a perfect fit for the new sound Mitch is trying for. John Grayum (Drums), is a favorite fit for this group on drums from time to time as well. With his light, laid back, lounge approach and style,he may get the call when Steve Wood is unavailable to fill a date. Eddie Dale(TelecasterGuitar) of "The Hollisters", and Mark O'Connor on( (Keys) round out the 5 man electric version of MJB. Dan Barfield(Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin) can be seen performing with Mitch in a stripped down acoustic trio with Rex Wherry on acoustic bass. Finally, the "Jukebox Fool" himself, Mitch Jacobs (Guitar and Vocals), brings a classic rock/blues approach on the guitar, and a golden throated voice that is very much at home on the range. This is one great Gulf coast, Tiki-Tonk outfit that The Houston Press saw fit to nominate for their 2009, and now 2010 Music Awards in the catagory of "Best Country". -

Rex Wherry (Bass guitar) is a long standing friend and bandmate from the Romeo Dog days. Steve Wood will be carrying the bulk of the drumming chores for 2010 as Mitch is going for more of a mainstream rock approach, but still maintaining the southern tendancies he is so noted for. Then you may catch "Feo Y Loco" drummer Danny Lee sitting in when Steve or Johnny are not available. Bill Howard (Pedal steel guitar), is a departure for Mitch from time to time as Bill's smoothe, warm, cocktail & western tone is currently heard upon availability only. We wish Bill and his family the best in these trying times and hope for his speedy return to regular gig'n with the band. In the meantime you may catch Mitch performing with the likes of sidemen like Eddie Dale(Guitar) of "The Hollisters", Adam Burcfield(Telecaster) of "The Octanes", or Multi-Instrumentalist Winfield Cheek(Lap Steel,Piano/Organ, Mandolin) from Austin, and most recently of "Shiney Ribs"(A side project of "The Gourds" Kevin Russell). Dan Barfield(Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin) can be seen performing with Mitch in a stripped down acoustic trio with Rex Wherry on acoustic bass. "Mitch Jacobs Trio" Dan may join the electric quartet now and then to form a 5 man band with a very full sound. Finally, the "Jukebox Fool" himself, Mitch Jacobs (Guitar and Vocals), brings a classic rock/blues approach on the guitar, and a golden throated voice that is very much at home on the range. Couple this wide range with the stage presence of your basic 50's, 60's rockabilly icon and you have this great Gulf coast, Tiki-Tonk outfit that The Houston Press saw fit to nominate for their 2009, and now 2010 Music Awards in the catagory of "Best Country".Influences:
