I'm a ravescene promoter, event producer, and a DJ!
I'm heavily into the ravescene (of course)... aside from that? I'm deeply interested in anything revolving around philosophy, quantum mechanics, advanced mathematics, chaos theory, experimental science, metaphysics, ancient history, archaeology, lost civilizations, the occult, paranormal and parapsychology, psychic phenomena, abnormal or aberrant psychology, aliens, UFOs vs Gods, paganism, wicca, shamanism, religion, spirituality, and improving the mind-body-soul connection.
These days, I've been making a gradual shift from a predominantly fast food existence, to a 100% organic lifestyle - basically raw fruits & veggies with fish and some fowl. I allow myself some organic eggs, bacon, cheese or other comfort items as an occasional treat, but I'm finding many of my favorites to be much less enjoyable now that I'm eating healthier. I'm rather enjoying the whole process of maturing, and am finding the need to be inebriated (by anything) to be greatly reduced. Even though I still enjoy reading about entheogenic and psychedelic research, I generally only trip a few times a year for purely spiritual purposes. I also support marijuana legalization, although I quit smoking a long time ago. I also rarely drink, mostly just to be social when I'm out at nightclubs.
I'm quite heavily into artwork: anything surreal, futuristic, abstract or expressionistic makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside. I love high-quality fantasy artwork, and anything dark, twisted or disturbing always rocks my world.
Eternal oldschool love to the amazing artists over at iCE.ORG
More oldschool luv to ACiD, aka Art Creators in Demand.
I'm a voracious reader, usually simultaneously working on 2-5 different books at any given time. I'm also a major fan of movies, though usually download 'em and watch at home; theatres are getting a little too pricey. I love nature and the outdoors, bicycling, swimming, and cross-country skiing (just kidding on that last one; I'm a Florida native, only been out in the snow 2-3 times in my life).
* * F E L I N E S ! * * Beautiful fuzzy-headed felines, old cats, little kittens, cuddly fur-persons, I absolutely love them all! My feline soulmate was Trouble (aka Trouble Bubble Baby Bear), unfortunately my little bear died at the end of 2002, just under 13 years old. I'm am however utterly blessed with a true familiar named Horace (aka Horse - cuz he has no voice), a big black & white love magnet. My bestest buddy in the world is a highly intelligent old soul, I call him "Master Horse" because he's got the temperament of a Buddhist monk. He's very calm, stoic and even-tempered, but with a truly beautiful heart and a comical, goofy personality. I also have two young adults / adolescents - Angel, a gorgeous & sweet long-haired young man, and Sharkbait (hoo ha ha!), one of the most relaxed yet goofy felines I have EVER encountered. Great kids, and perfect little fur-brothers, one and all. =O )
Over the past several months, I've become *QUITE* the gaming geek. I never really got much into games in the past aside from the occasional RPG (role-playing game) or nostalgic nod at the arcade games I played growing up (Xevious, Zaxxon, Missile Command, Battlezone, Centipede, 1942 etc). I recently bought a PS2 and have become quite enamored of its time-wasting charms. I've amassed a fairly large collection of games for the Playstation 2 as well as the ps1 which I used to own but only VERY rarely played. Anyway... I'm a member of the website GameSpot, which is my main destination these days for finding hints & tips to better play the games I'm enjoying. Here's a link to my profile on there:
I love music that crosses boundaries, anything interesting and well-textured, deeply layered and resonant sounds that refuse to stick to one specific genre. Psychedelic breakbeats, atmospheric electro synthpop, ethereal industrial and dark jazzy drum & bass are all composite styles that truly speak to my heart. I also love the sounds of Florida electro & breaks, trip hop, acid jazz, goa/psytrance, oldschool rave / acid house / newbeat, as well as early electro-funk, new wave, 70s psychedelic / space rock, blues, funk and soul.
My all-time favorite groups include:
Future Sound Of London
Tears For Fears
The The
Alan Parsons Project
Rush
Styx
Supertramp
Pink Floyd
Information Society
Spacemen
Genesis
Depeche Mode
Yes / Asia
Earth Wind & Fire
Some of my favorite electronic music producers are:
Man, I used to **HATE** television, totally despised it as the opiate of the masses... Anyway, I've really gotten quite into it in recent years, mostly due to having stretches of free time in between sessions of working on the Euphoria Project... Ever since I decided to get Comcast's DVR service, I've been a TV nut, recording all my favorites and watching them at my leisure.
Here's what I watch the most:
DOCUMENTARIES! I'm a FIEND for a good documentary! I love the Discovery Channel, the Biography channel, the Travel Channel, the Science Channel, and the National Geographic Channel; those are my primary destinations when watching TV. I love Mythbusters - Globe Trekker - Dirty Jobs - Pinks - Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - Real Time with Bill Maher - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - Offbeat America - Not Your Average Travel Guide - Landscapers Challenge... I also LOVE a good nature show, though I can't stand the ones where the host is compelled to wrestle, subdue, catch, or dominate every single creature he comes across ('bout time some critter caught up with the Crocodile Hunter! go nature!!). The Kratt Brothers' show "Be The Creature" is my absolute favorite; they try to peacefully coexist with the creatures in their own environment, it's a truly enjoyable & uplifting show to watch.
Science Fiction is, of course, one of my absolute favorites. EMBRACE THE INNER GEEK! Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, The 4400, and the Dresden Files are absolute must-see for me. I also love older stuff like FIREFLY/SERENITY (just about my alltime favorite show, *EVER*), Stargate, X-Files, Dead Like Me, Roswell, Threshold, Surface, Farscape, Max Headroom, Dr. Who (old & new), Quantum Leap, and occasionally (VERY INFREQUENTLY) some Star Trek. I also spend a little time watching Adult Swim and Comedy Central (I love standup comedy). ROBOT CHICKEN!! That show is pure genius, Seth Green is my hero for making this crazy-ass show, resulting in the best 15 minute block in television history!! ...also, South Park, Family Guy, American Dad, Creature Comforts, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Futurama (never got into the Simpsons though). ...and for shows with real humans, I regularly watch Jericho, Deadwood, The Wire, Prison Break, Huff, Psyche, Eureka, Weeds, the Sopranos, Oz, Big Love, Band of Brothers, John from Cincinnati, Wire in the Blood, Seinfeld, Sex in the City, Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared (go Judd Apatow!), as well as Beauty and the Geek (SUCH my show!)...
Books
I'm usually working on 3-4 books at any given time... I used to be heavily into fiction (horror, fantasy, sci-fi) but these days mostly read non-fiction, self-help, spirituality or occult type books. Some of my all-time favorites: Breakthrough by Whitley Strieber, Robert A Heinlein's Door Into Summer, the Celestine Prophecies by James Redfield, The Conscious Universe by Dean Radin PhD, The Medicinal Garden by Anne McIntyre, and Arcane Lore by Scribe 27.
Heroes
(1) The Lumonics Family; for being kind, giving, beautiful people, and for never letting anything truly get them down. They've been living their dream for DECADES!!
(2) Any truly intelligent, openminded, non-judgmental people.
(3) Any of those AMAZING non-selfish people who live their lives solely to help others and the world around them, despite the personal cost or effort.
(4) Anyone who chooses not to conform to the mainstream consumer society dictated by our modern government, and instead lives their own life by their own rules. (It's been a long road but I'm finally reaching a point where I'm living life the way I WISH to live it, not the way I'm TOLD to live it. Every day is a new test but I'm determined to ascend, and to do the absolute best I can for my self, my life, and the entire conscious universe around me. :)
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift.” -- Albert Einstein
My life is guided by the concept of Existentialism: I choose the meaning and purpose of my life over all other guiding principles.
''Man is condemned to be free;
because once thrown into the world,
he is responsible for everything he does.''
''It is up to you to give [life] a meaning.''
--Jean-Paul Sartre
''It is man's natural sickness to
believe that he possesses the Truth.''
--Blaise Pascal
I am a Mentalist. My existence depends upon strength of will, although I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason. My mind has been honed by years of practice into the perfect tool for examining reality and gradually altering it to suit my needs. I am intelligent and scholarly with a tendency to distance myself from others in order to further accomplish my goals. I am an excellent judge of character, yet my innate idealism and unusual morality can (and often does) confuse others.
My inner child is ten years old! The adult world is thoroughly irrelevant to me. Whether I'm off walking around a park in the morning, bicycling around my neighborhood late at night, getting lost in a good book or movie, or just acting goofy as hell with some of my friends, I tend to live in a world apart, one full of adventure and mystery and other stuff that most adults simply do not understand.
Full of spunk, you are the original party animal.
You bring fun, activity, and stimulation to any event.
Self-control is not one of your strong points; you have been known to over indulge.
Cheerful and energetic, you can turn the most boring thing into something fun.
You are most compatible with a Rat or Dragon.
You Should Have Been Born Under:
Resourceful and practical, you are a quick thinker.
You are very observant - and it's hard to get anything past you!
A total perfectionist, you are especially picky about looking your best.
You're a big dreamer - such a big dreamer that reality can disappoint you.
You are most compatible with an Ox or Snake.
Born on the 8th day of the month, you have a special gift for business, as you can conceive and plan on a grand scale.
You have good executive skills and you're a good judge of values.
You should try to own your own business, because you have such a strong desire to be in control.
You are generally reliable when it comes to handling money; you can be trusted in this regard.
Idealistic by nature, you are never too busy to spend some time on worthwhile causes, especially if managerial support are needed.
There is much potential for material success associated with this number.
You like an adrenaline rush as much as the next person. You like your thrills in small doses.
You're generally pretty calm and level headed. But sometimes you have to go wild and have a crazy adventure.
You are definitely a gentleman. You're very considerate and you have excellent manners.
Occasionally, you slip and do something foolish... but usually no one notices!
A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam.
Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city).

[ PEACE - LOVE - UNITY - RESPECT ]
My name's Mitch, and I run an event production company known as the Euphoria Project. Our goal is to be the glue that binds together the disparate elements of our scene, helping to usher in a new renaissance for the Florida state electronic music community.
At present, we throw dance music parties (raves) in the South Florida (Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beach) area. These events aim to represent the full spectrum of electronic music, giving people a true perspective of the beauty of this style of music. Eventually, we would like to expand to the point where we are throwing festivals, devoted to exploring ALL musical styles in an open, non-confrontational venue, where everyone is welcome without rules, without boundaries, and without exception.
For more information on the Euphoria Project, who we are and what we do, please feel free to visit our website at http://www.EuphoriaProject.org/
When I'm on the internet, I typically spend my time either planning or promoting new events. I use various personal messengers to talk directly with DJs and producers, and use MySpace to help network with much lovers and any- and everyone involved in Florida's electronic music scene. When I'm promoting, I spend much of my time posting to YahooGroups and other forums, such as 8up, BlueLight, FloridaRavers, ElectroAlliance, and many more.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? "Not bad... but you could do better. Go back and try it again!"
Who I'd like to meet:
Looking to meet anyone involved in the Florida state electronic music
scene, as it's pretty much my life. I used to be involved in throwing
house parties, but there's really no future in that - only a lot of disrespect
and constant paranoia. These days, planning, promoting and throwing new
venue parties takes up most of my time. I'm always looking to meet any
interesting, friendly new people!!
I'm also looking to meet anyone in the South Florida area who is ACTIVELY
interested in paganism, shamanism, wicca, psychic energy and phenomena,
the supernatural, occult, paranormal, or anything along those lines. The
sharing of information and experiences is incredibly important, so that
we can do our absolute best to help our world, and to collectively improve
its future.
On the business side of things, Euphoria Project's always looking for
potential new venues, and since we are continually scaling up our business,
we are also always on the lookout for new DJs, Live PAs and other performers
to add onto our party lineups.
you know. the house of slack isn't the same. the empty chair creeps the shit out of me. most of all....knowing that you won't be back breaks my heart. you will be missed more than you could ever imagine. i love you mitch....so until we all meet again...we're gonna carry on the legacy you began...♥
Mitch, I know we will all miss you. If it weren't for you I wouldn't be a DJ, and I know that goes for many other DJ's and production companies. You will truly be missed.
I owe a lot to Mitch Waas. I've often told him he is the only reason Ringmaster Productions did anything in Florida because of his warm welcome when I first moved there.
If there is going to be a service for him, please contact me with the details.
We are saddened to hear of Mitch's departing. He did so much for so many people, and his inspiration will always be a part of us. He helped us at Lumonics in so many ways that we are forever grateful to his contribution, not only for his expertise but for introducing us to a new generation that embraced P.L.U.R.R.
I can only think that there was a calling for him on another plane where he can now float around, free of his body and the burdens that can take a toll and work his magic in the ethers. Taking the rave scene to another level. We will never forget you, Mitch.
MY FREIND, We never expected you parting, but we are sure you are in a good place because of your grand generosity and your genuine care for others. Your freinds will miss you dearly and those who did know you will have missedout on meeting a great soul. with love and respect from Roly
Image To a great man and a great friend. You will never be forgotten and may you soul rest in peace. Even though you may not be physically here, you'll always be in our hearts until we meet again.
