About me:
My name is Joshua Andrew Carpenter. those of you who know me pretty much know that i do what i like and dont really care what others think about it because as long as it makes me happy thats what matters, that doesnt mean that i dont care about your opinion, it just means that if you have a problem with something i do and i get approached in a way like "oh i would have done it this way" or "you should have done this" well i didnt do it for you and if i would have then i would have asked before hand, like with the eclipse i had so may people ask questions about why i did this and why that, well becasue it was my car and i wanted it to be built to make me happy, and the way i dress is my own, whatever i decide to wear for that day is what i put on, be it a t-shirt that came from a car show or something car and car audio related and a pair of shorts or blue jeans, that is most commonly what i wear. i dont need expensive shirts and pants to try and make friends or try and seem like im happy, i am perfectly happy wearing my $5-$15 and sometimes free t-shirts, it represents my life style alot better than just a polo from a preppy store. but that is just my own style, i dont knock people who do wear that its just not me and i dont like being asked why i do it.
i am a IASCA Sound Quality judge as of march 12th 2009, i have competed in SPL for a little over 3 years and competed as a member of USACI in 2007 and took the region championship and was invited to world finals but didnt make it, in 2008 i was also invited back to the USACI world finals but yet again did not go but was also invited to IASCA world finals which was held in Daytona Beach at Spring Break Nationals which is where i also became a Sound Quality judge, but as of the start of 2009 i am starting on my Sound Quality build which is going to be a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe.
I own a car audio and customization shop here where i live in northeast georgia, nothing really that big right now, just installs and testing, but no showroom or anything, hopefully in the next couple of years i can move up and actually get a sales floor with a showroom but it will also be after the mustang is finished. anyone in the area intrested in helping out with the shop or even needing any kind of work done send me a message on here, i check my myspace every day, as oppose to my email which i hardly ever check anymore.
alot of you know me from the 97 eclipse gst that i had for a while, it was also all built by me and the people that i had helping at the shop at the time. it was both my show car and spl car which at the end of 3 years had somewhere around 60 awards. and the car was never truly finished, and as most of you know there was something constantly being changed on it.
if there is anything you want to know just send a message and ask, i am a open person about most things. some things about me is obviously i love cars and car audio, techno music, some rap and some rock, i used to hate world of warcraft but tried it out one day and now i am hooked to it, i have a problem with insomnia, i would rather work at my shop all night and sleep most of the day, it just seems calmer to me to work at night, even though i am sure some people around me dont like it too much.
thats about it for now, if there is anything you would like to knwo just send a message
