Die Hauptband von Salon Obskur im August, Lord Mouse & The Kalypso Kats hat bis jetzt bei jeder Gelegenheit Räume bis zum bersten gefüllt und dabei immer begeisterte, verschwitzte Gesichter hinterlassen. Vielleicht liegt das daran, daß die Band einen obskuren karibischen Musikstil importiert - nicht aus Jamaica, nein, aus Trinidad, Tobago: Calypso! - Vielleicht liegts an Lord Mouse, der mit seinem samtweichen Bass die Frauenherzen im Offbeat schlagen lässt, vielleicht aber auch daran, daß der Charme der 13-köpfigen Kapelle mit Backgroundsängerinnen ihr Publikum schlicht umhaut.
