SHOW WHAT U GOT ! By DJ Poska & DJ Quick (French)
Paris, 2007. Le marché du disque est en déclin et l’industrie musicale court à sa perte. Après le vinyle et la cassette, le CD devient obsolète au profit du numérique. Deux raisons des plus liées en sont la cause : le formatage des plans marketing a prit le pas sur la diversité et dans sa quantité perdu toute dimension de qualité. Aucun genre musical n’échappe à ce cataclysme. Pour faire face à cette recrudescence de contrefacon de DJ qui n’endossent pas leur vrais rôles dans le développement de notre culture, Dj Poska & Dj Quick ont décidé de s’associer pour former une unité d’élite de DJ afin de revenir aux élémentaires. Le S.W.U.G. pour “Show What U Got” a pour vocation de redonner ses lettres de noblesses à la Mix-Tape (nomination qui n’a pas changé malgré le changement de support ) en faisant découvrir les artistes US de demain avec des freestyles, des inédits… et rendre à Cesar ce qui appartient à Cesar.

DJ POSKA (ENGLISH) The french DJ seems to have such an easiness, that he makes us believe that his work is easy... However, for more than fifteen years, Dj Poska polished his craft and nowadays mixes almost as he breathes. Parties, mixtapes, radio shows, compilations, productions.... The gentleman excels in all fields of his art. First Coup d'etat in 1996 in duets with Dj Doze, Poska finishes third in the prestigious DMC DJs' World Champions Competition. But DJ Poska will remain forever in the History of French Hip Hop featuring among the pioneers of the mixed tapes (Mixtapes). Mixed Titles, freestyles, remixes, DJ Poska's mixtapes baptised “What's the Flavor ?” monitorise the french hip hop by the pulse and keep the street updated on U.S. most recent releases... On the local tip, his "tapes" reveal the cream of french rap or confirm the best ones with anthology freestyles.The "What's the Flavor" series will outnumber the 50 volumes, and even lead to an offical release with Universal Music in the spring of 1998, and then later, with the Virgin and Sony labels !! Any of these community service achievements will satisfy any Dj, but only reflects a part of DJ Poska's. He also produces (the album Homecore, Old School movie soundtrack, remixes), hosts radio shows (successively on Generations FM,Skyrock, FG...) and holds the turntables of many prestigious artistes while touring. DJ Poska don't ever forget the essence of his work to keep the crowd vibing on the musique that he loves. His gifts as a party DJ are no longer to be proven and one can widely appreciate the musicality of his mixes at any of these venues in Paris. He also, deejayed in coutless parties all over France and the West Indies, Swizerland, Belgium, Portugual, England, Ivory Coast, Cameroun, Canada... Poska also presided in many snowboarding summits, field that he particularly cherishes : Gliss'Expo, Snow Pro at the Stadium of France, Quicksilver Cup, Playstation Boarder Tour, La Boucherie in Avoriaz, Big Air at Bercy, Arnette and Ethniess, Mondial du Snow at 2 Alpes, Mix & Fly at Risoul,... He also produced some tracks for the famous videos of Transworld. Energetic on the field, DJ Poska is also a tremendous executioner in the studio. Leaving you wondering if he ever sleep. Or so little. The biggest french record labels steadily request his services for intros to their upcoming albums or compilations, just to profit of of that famous "magic touch", that is incisive and precise. To this day, Poska counts more than 2 millions records sales and he is 5 times “Gold records”. DJ Poska is gifted but does not keep his talent for himself. In three of DVDeejay's volumes (Hip Hop Deejaying lessons on DVD), he spreads many precious advices with endowment and good humor. Three volumes nowadays, mentioned as references. For those who wouldn't want adventuring in the metal wheels' schooling, they can still enjoy Poska's sound on their cellphone because the DJ operates with BlingTones, hip hop ringtones provider! Furthermore, Poska always thought about pushing others and got implied in developping artists. To this day, Dj poska have his label Bigbroz Recordz. A new objective for DJ Poska, whose multiple talents make him a unique DJ. Music, please...

DJ QUICK (ENGLISH)
Dj Quick discovered his passion for Hip Hop but especially for the turntablism through clubbing and radio shows in the early 90’s. His friend Dj Just taught him turntablism techniques and the passion of it and its mixes. Dj Mouss will then make him work the scratch. After, Dj Quick’s debut the same year at the Gibus with Dj Kut Effekt, Générations 88.2 FM offered them to air a weekly show. From this opportunity will rise a series of now well known mixtapes. DJ Quick participated in the DMC France Championship Battle in 1998 and 1999. In 1998 DJ Quick became vice champion of France with Dj Kut Effekt. Paris nights then became his playground. Dj Quick turned to be one of the hottest DJ in France. His original mixes and the way he played hit makers tracks are his trademark in his Paris and world shows. He toured France and Canada with La Brigade in 2001 and performed in famous shows as Printemps de Bourges, in Switzerland with Lost Boyz and EPMD. With La Brigade, Dj Quick released three albums and some of the hottest French hip-hop tracks ever. Dj Quick first signed mix tape, "Open Mic Sessions", became a classic and showed a new Dj Quick talent by producing 14 tracks for well known French rappers featuring his new rappers. His work was confirmed in Capital Hip Hop album, with Afro Jazz and especially in its radio shows on Skyrock, FG Radio and Générations 88.2 FM. One of his latest challenge was New York nights… Dj Quick performed at the Gallery Club and the Boulevard. Back from these New York shows Dj quick came stronger.
