Mixxula is a local legend in his own mind. Born and raised in Sacramento, Mixxula is responsible for being a leader in the hip-hop movement and growth from day one. He began djing in 1984 at his high school. The school had a radio station that broadcast throughout the valley. Mixxula was the 1st dj to broadcast real hip-hop in the 916.

His tradition continues today as he’s a staple in the region as a veteran dj who keeps his finger on the pulse of the “Now Generation”. Dressed up for Mixxula is a new fitted ball cap, coordinating top and bottom hip-hop brand fit with crisp, new Air Force Ones to set it off. He is so hip-hop; he has a turntable tone arm tattoo on his forearm proclaiming his deep commitment to the culture and art. You might catch him in his Simon Phoenixx persona, suit & tie, directing a wedding reception or blending the R&B, Old School, Neo-Soul or Reggae as this Gemini is multi-faceted.
