The project was formed back in 2004
by 2 fellows with the sole intention to create a side project into electronic music. This innovation was baptized under the name of Division
Alpha. Few months later both individuals parted ways
and the project together with the first songs were put on rest.
Couple of years later, J[k], the only
remaining member decided to enhance the very first material.
Afterwards the 1st promo called In Sensations Adorned
(previously released under the Ethereal J moniker)was released. Shortly after, the name
was changed to MJ.5, where some fellows interpret it as
Majestic 5. Later on, a US based net label decided to host the project
for future works and collaboration. Results were scarce and both label
and MJ.5 parted ways after several months due to lack of professionalism.
MJ.5 performed with known local
performers such as FISH (not the rock band), DJ Gotama, Neegee, Wailin (on Didgeridoos) among others.
The comments were quite positive, and MJ.5 has been described as a fresh
amalgamation of ideas, styles and conceptions.
The concept of MJ.5 stands
only for fine ears, and for those who like dark and celestial tunes combined.
