  • General

    happiness is... alone time with my husband, a hug from one of my children, drawing, reading, animals, a really good shoe sale, music, crafts if when I'm in the mood, the beach, a brand new razor, ben & jerry's ice cream, driving fast, playing in the rain, a long overdue cry, white roses, getting a pedicure, roller coasters, taking pictures (of anything and everything), a bubble bath, a spontaneous drive, a new pair of jeans, the sound of genuine laughter, starbucks frappuccinos, bonfires, sunsets over the ocean, a good thunderstorm, an empty laundry basket

  • Music

    I love music... the type depends on my mood and/or where I am. I'll listen to just about anything, although I can't stand rap. My music collection grows daily... there's no favorite song or artist. The wonderful thing about music is regardless of how you feel, good or bad, there's always a song that can be played that either accompanies you in the mood, or brings you out of the mood you're in.

  • Movies

    I'm such a sap... I'm rarely caught crying in public, but even my husband will tell you I'm a softie for a good tear jerker. I don't mind a good action/drama movie now and then, and I love comedies... when all else fails, have a good laugh. I'm not a fanatic about rushing out and seeing a movie as soon as it's released (they're out on dvd soon enough), but eventually it's watched, and if enjoyed... purchased.

  • Television

    As though there's time in the day to watch television. It's rare ours is on, if it is, the children have it tuned in to what they want to watch. If I do happen to sit down and catch a glimpse of something, it's usually a show like House, Law & Order, or something on one of the science, travel, or history channels... and if we're at home on the weekends, the Nascar race is most likely on. Occasionally I like to watch a comical sitcom that you can watch without thinking, especially after a long day of work.

  • Books

    Anything... I'll read any book once. If the book was thoroughly enjoyed, I may purchase it to read again later. Normally I'll read something in regards to my current interests or situation, but if a book catches my eye and it hasn't yet been read, I'll find it on amazon, ebay, or at the library to add it to my "read books list".

  • Heroes

    My husband, my soul mate, for reasons he may never understand. All those in the military for sacrificing themselves despite those who judge, condemn and don't understand your importance. Those who tolerate me when I'm at my worst. It's rare to catch me in grumpy form, but when I am it's not fun, and those willing and able to tolerate it... kuddos!

About me:

I'm a wife to the best friend a gal can have, my dear hubby Mike, a soldier in the US Army. He's my friend, my lover, my confidant, my shoulder to cry on, my cuddle partner... the one I laugh with, the one I gripe to when I'm PMSing, the one I plan with, the one I dream with, the one I want to grow old with.

I have two children, Desiree and Nathan, and five step-children, Michael Jr, Samantha, William, Josh and Alisa. All of them are each unique in their own way. Two of our seven kids live here at home with us - Desiree & Nathan. Our oldest son, Michael (Junior) has recently returned home from his tour in Iraq; Samantha lives about an hour away with her husband, Michael, and their daughter (our grand-baby) Madison; William lives right down the road and frequently visits our kitchen; My youngest stepson Josh lives in Michigan with his girlfriend and our other two grand-babies, Karolina and Bailey; My youngest step-daughter, Alisa, also lives in Michigan, and we're hoping to see her sometime this summer.

Life is usually a three ring circus... always something going on... or so it seems on this end. In general we're a pretty strong knit family, hence the reason the "about me" part of this has such a focus on not just me, but the loved ones that help to make me the person I am.

Nine times out of ten if I'm doing something it revolves somehow around a member of the family. My relax time away from it all is either out alone with Mike, hanging out with friends, or spending time outdoors. I treasure every "alone time" moment with my husband since daily schedules and family make it a rare event for us to actually be alone.

I enjoy drawing, and multiple types of art & design. I love the beach... we vacation on St.Pete beach every time we get a chance to go away... something which is long overdue. I love electronic gadgets. I love to read & will read about anything. Knowledge is wonderful, even if it's never used. The sky's the limit, the only time you you've failed is when you don't attempt and/or achieve it.

I doubt I'm done with schooling... there are more things I'd like to try to take on. Mike and I have ventures we're determined to try and hope to succeed in... but we try, and that's how we keep our lives fullfilling and far from boring!
