MKC Beauty Academy provides a unique experience for students and professionals who want to excel in the beauty makeup industry. MKC Beauty Academy offers a Masters Program in Fashion, Beauty, and Print Makeup for artist who wish to take their skills to the highest level.
*Masters Program in Fashion, Print & Beauty*
In this program you will learn everything you need to know to become a professional makeup artist in print, television, film or fashion. From the very basics to the most advanced application techniques, top Hollywood makeup artist Margaret Kimura has created this program based on her knowledge and experience from almost 30 years in print, television, fashion and film.
In addition to unequaled makeup skills, as a Masters Program graduate you will be educated in many makeup related fields, creating a more complete professional makeup artist, ready to work in a variety of areas. No other makeup artistry program covers these very important aspects of print makeup. Learn basic print hair and wardrobe styling, makeup for ethnic skin and bridal, photo retouching, beauty lighting, portfolio building, and confidence building techniques.
Through your experiences in the Masters Program and an unprecedented 5 professional photo shoots with top fashion photographers and A-grade models, your portfolio will be ready to start landing you real jobs in fashion, beauty, print, television and film.
The course objective is to provide training for individuals who wish to seek employment as beauty makeup artists. The course is designed to prepare students to work as industry level beauty makeup artists in print, film, television, theater, and the fashion and retail industries. It will also prepare students with the confidences and skills to effectively network and market themselves. (343 clock hours)

Instructors
All of our instructors are working professionals in their fields, so they teach only the most up-to-date material. Students witness a broad range of techniques assisting each student to help find their own style. We encourage individuality and creativity.
Instructors are also able to talk to students about the working environment, job skills, set etiquette, professionalism, and industry DOs and DON'Ts.
Courses
Courses included in the Master's program are Introduction to Makeup, Professional, and Advanced Makeup, Bridal Makeup, Ethnic Makeup, Basic Hair Design, Basic Wardrobe Styling, Beauty Lighting, Photo Retouching, Success Coaching, Business and Marketing, and 5 days of photo shoots with professional models and top fashion and celebrity photographers.
Besides teaching the highest level of beauty application, our program also includes a Business and Marketing course to teach you how to be a successful artist and prepare you for a career. You will participate in mock job interviews to prepare you for surviving an interview AND landing the job. You will sit down with the School Director to lay out a 2-year business plan, with month-by-month goals that will help keep you focused and on track. No other program offers this kind of concentrated insider's look at the business side of the industry, taught by the founders themselves!
The course also includes 3 days of Success Coaching taught by the founders Margaret Kimura and Michael Heymann. They will focus on how to deal with conflict in the industry, get over hurdles, and help build your self-confidence. After all, in this industry, networking and people skills will make or break your career.

Requirements
Students must be at least 18 years of age and have proof of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Classes are only 8-10 students who are hand picked based on an 2-3 page essay reviewed by the Board of Directors. (criteria available upon request) Only serious students will be considered, and they must pose a passion for a successful career as a Master Level Makeup Artist.
