Megan Hilty (born Megan Kathleen Hilty on March 29, 1981 in Bellevue, Washington, USA).
Hilty is an American stage actress. She attended the Washington Academy of Performing Arts Conservatory High School for several years. She recently graduated from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and is a member of Actors' Equity. She is a recipient of the National Society of Arts and Letters Award for Excellence in Musical Theater. Her regional credits include productions of Café Puttanesca, Suds, and The Wild Party.
Shortly before graduating from Carnegie Mellon, Hilty auditioned for the part of Glinda in the hit musical, Wicked. After graduating, she moved to New York City, and in mid-2004, she made her Broadway debut in the show. She originally served as the standby for Jennifer Laura Thompson before taking over the principal role on May 31, 2005. She played Glinda for a year, ending her run on May 28, 2006, having been replaced by Kate Reinders, the original Glinda in the Chicago production of Wicked.
Hilty recently starred in a musical called Vanities at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts in Mountain View with TheatreWorks. She is currently in the national tour of Wicked as Glinda started in September 2006, for a 3-month stint in the Portland, Oregon and Seattle stops, as well as some of the Toronto stop alongside former Broadway co-star Shoshana Bean. She will reprise her role as Glinda alongside Eden Espinosa in the open-ended Los Angeles production of Wicked starting on February 10, 2007.

Megan left the Los Angeles production on May 18, 2008 and was replaced by Erin Mackey.

In the Fall of 2008, Hilty will join Emmy-winning The West Wing star Allison Janney, fellow Wicked alum Stephanie J. Block, and Broadway veteran Marc Kudisch in the new musical adaption of, 9 to 5. The production will be directed by Joe Mantello - the director of Wicked - and will have its pre-Broadway tryout run at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles beginning September 21st. Hilty will star as executive secretary Doralee Rhodes (portrayed by Dolly Parton in the original film). Parton has also written the music and lyrics for the new musical. Center Theatre Group will present 9 to 5 in Los Angeles, September 3 through October 19, 2008, as the first production in the Ahmanson's 2008-2009 season. Opening is set for September 21.

Megan is aware that this page exists, yes. But, she does not read any of the messages sent to this page - she does have her own personal account and you can find in the number one spot of our top friends, and you can message her there. 2) Who runs this page?
Our names are Steph and Lauren. We are long-time fans of Megan, and decided that she clearly needed a great fanpage. Our aim here is simply to have a place for Megan fans to go, talk to each other and get updates and information. If you need anything, or have any questions, feel free to contact us either here, or on our personal pages, which you can also find in our top friends.

3) Is this page really official?
It is. We discussed it with Megan, and she agreed that this could be her official fanspace right now. She currently does not have an official website, so this is the best place to go to get information and such.

4) Why doesn't Megan respond to my comments/messages?
You have to understand that this is nothing personal. Megan is EXTREMELY busy and does not get online very often. When she does, she tries her very best to keep us - and all of her fans - informed and updated. She just doesn't have the time to always individually answer everyone back. She tries her best though.

5) Does Megan stage door?
She does. But, this doesn't mean that at every single performance, she will be at the stagedoor, no question. She is only human, after all. But, as a general rule, yes, she goes to the stagedoor and is always very friendly to all of her fans, so don't worry about that. :)

6) When is Megans contract up? Is she renewing?
To be perfectly honest, the best answer we can give you right now is 'we don't know.'. Nothing has been officially announced yet, and until then, we can't put anything out there, so for now, just hang in there and we will give you updates on this as soon as we can. Megan finished her run as Glinda in Wicked LA on May 18th 2008.

7) How can I get in touch with Megan in ways other than MySpace?
We are currently working on finding Megans current fanmail address - hang in there for a few days! :)
